My Biggest Problem With Path of Exile

I see where OP is coming from, but I need at least 30 days to sort my stash out between leagues ;)
Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can't explain that.

It prevents burnout, creates longing, and produces a bigger hype push for the start of new leagues. It may be a bummer if the downtime occupies an awkward time for you personally, but this cyclical ebb and flow is, in fact quite healthy for the game and the community.

Pretty much this.

GGG needs "breaks" , they need it so they can have more time for their patches , they need it so they push players take a rest and avoid getting burned out.PoE is that kind of game where you just destined to get a little burned out if you don`t take a break.
Um are people really using burnout as a reason for league downtime?

You know you can not play the game even when a league is going right.....

With more leagues you would have mods you like and don't like and can take a break during the ones you don't like. What is wrong with that?
I need a signature to look legit

I really don't understand why they haven't worked on paid leagues. There's some real untapped potential there.

Indeed.
I like many kinds of games 😊
Grindy ARPGs like PoE need some downtime to allow their players to refresh otherwise burn out definitely occurs despite the multiple build options that exist. During down periods find something else to do in-game. You say you aren't good at hardcore? Well, there you go, that is something you could work on. Play some other games with your guildies. Or just go do something non-gaming.

I just wanted to relay my biggest problem with Path of Exile in hopes that if it hasn't already been discussed in length that it will.

It's not nerfs. We all know, as gamers, that nerfs will happens. Some we will hate, some we won't really care about, but typically we simply adapt to the nerf and move on with a varied amount of whining here and there.

My real problem with Path of Exile is the downtime between leagues. Now there are many players that are perfectly happy with playing in Standard or Hardcore. I, personally, find Standard unappealing. I'm also, evidently, no suited to Hardcore.

I have enjoyed the temporary leagues a lot, due to fresh starts for all characters and the economy and the special encounters that typically come with new leagues.

Now, my argument isn't which type of league is better. What my argument pertains to is the fact that I simply begin to lose interest in the game as I wait for a new league. I find other things to fill my time. I know I can't be the only one this happens to.

If I am waiting for a new league and I lose interest, I stop buying things in the game. If I'm not playing I'm not spending any money. This, in itself, is detrimental to the game.

I'd like to see GGG become more fluid in their transitions from one league to another.

(I had more that I wanted to say, but ran out of time to post. I'll revisit it later. Thank you)

Call it time to sort your tabs.
HAIL SATAN!
It's kinda sad that so many people think Standard is lame... Like all ur wealth and what u've worked for eventually ends up in Standard. Maybe GGG should make standard more fun...

Feel's like my life's work is just rotting in standard, all my awesome gear, all the exalts, mirror of kalandras just laying there not beeing used because 3 month leagues are way more fun.

:(
:P wait for a4 and then new leagues starting thats fine..

I would really like to get some fun leagues during beta some stuff like increased double moster density, inc drop/ep rates or something like this.
This thread managed to get me trolled by GGG.

Logged back on to the forums today and saw a message in my box. My heart jumped thinking it might be a beta invite.

Nope, just notification that my thread had been relocated.

Bummer. lol
