Path of Exile too easy?

from my experience, POE is definitely NOT too easy, when you play it fully selffound.

after having learned the very basics of the game (e.g. to FULLY plan ahead all the way) it is still so hard to get the all the gear, gems, linked sockets you need to make your build work. and of course, this "not getting the needed stuff by bying/trading it" makes the progress not easy.

don´t get me wrong: the game is helluva FUN, bot not too easy ... the selffound way
i really want to use curse words against whoever wrote this.
what are you talking about???? im dying hundreds and hundreds and HUNDREDS of time in daresso's dream with loads of mobs attacking my ass with 3.5k life, ithis is easy you say???
cant stand the difficulty anymore and im actually 4 levels above the zone , this is not easy, this is nightmare

GGG PLEASE Tune down the difficuly for this game PLEASE!! i really like this game.

Also, people notoriously call Dark Souls a difficult game series, but you're fully within your power to grind it out and make your character unstoppably strong before progressing.

The game is only as difficult as you make it. And it's a great game. The same goes for Path - you can netbuild and make something you know will get you to endgame, grind out currency and poe.trade your way to victory. OR you can design your own build, play self found, or whatever the hell you please to make the game as difficult as you want.

For me, poe is not too easy.
I find it a hard game.

But I think the view on difficulty by a 14h+/day player and 1h/day will greatly differ.

A 14h+ player should not start threads and request harder content, a 1h player should stop QQ on too hard content.

And IMO:
difficulty should not be balanced around perm.
mirror gear, legacy gear and 5M+ dps parties are not the way to balance content around.

eg
Loath bane, low life crown of eyes pain attunement acuity build is what got blood rage flicker nerfed to oblivion.

FINALLY we can play flicker desync free, guess not... tnx 100 million loath bane copies

I don't think HC leagues are THAT easy though, i do see your point. They could atleast make HC abit harder so it compares better to SC leagues. Because right now, they are to hard compared to their HC counterpart.

Punishing people for dying really doesn't add any "challenge" to the gameplay. That's just an illusion.

In fact: severe experience penalties actually causes the gameplay to become easier by result. Why? Because it encourages players to skip past more difficult content where death is likely - and thus makes the game less-challenging by effect.

So again: the truth of the matter is punishing people when they die (especially if it's a harsh punishment) - on a game like this - doesn't make it any harder. It actually makes it easier.

The best way to make a game challenging is to adequately reward players for doing the more difficult content. Not to punish them to the point it's not worth trying.

The hard thing of PoE is not playing the game itself, but playing the game using a build that is different from others, that comes out from a concept/mechanic that you developed with your own brain. Anyone of us can play flame totem,TS or cyclone with proper gear, or be less vulnerable with a lightning coil. Everywhere I see people with the same gear, same skills band so on. You have a shit ton of instruments To play differently in PoE to experiment new things. This game is not easy at all if you play self-found or if you are a not a 7h+ a-day player who wants to try this game with his own ideas. Apart from Leagues etc, you make this game more challenging.

And you can also start to code your own Death to Exiles game, that is super hard and can only be defeated with uber items. GGG started because they were let down by D3, right? Now they have a Game of the Year under their collective chain belts.

You may also call your game Path of No-Lifers.

I haven't played since it was still in beta. Just played today. It's actually pretty pathetic now. Up until Mervill, I didn't even need to attack to murder a horde, reposte did that for me. LITERALLY didn't have to attack to clear her minions just before her cave. When killing her, I did need to use a single dose of potion. YAy? When it was in Beta, my wife and I got mauled by merv, it was severe. The danger of it made it fun. Now, at this point, especially with their insisting I should play through 3 times before I can select a higher difficulty, I doubt I'll even leave it installed.
Really sad. Pretty pathetic. VERY boring.
At least I occasionally die on TL 2...

Death is not likely at any point. This isn't a build issue, hasn't been since the tail end of beta. I am not a 1 hour player, I am a many of hours player.
