I'm an ARPG PvP noob who just made his first low-level PvP char a couple of weeks ago and so far i'm enjoying it in short bursts (like another poster already said) when i have the time and will for it.

You can make already premade lld (low-level-duelling) chars but sadly these ones aren't restricted to duels with other premades since that would only further dilute the already small PvP community i guess. This means that you're doing ok as long as you get matched up with other premade PvP chars, but once you get a better/custom geared PvP char as your opponent, you'll get rekt.

You can decide to start making a "blank" lld PvP char as well which is "locked" in to the correct level etc., but in that case you have to farm up some gear for it and craft it in order to be useful as well as level up gems to their highest possible level for lld; you'll probably beat every player with a premade LLD char but once you get matched with a better-geared and more expirienced player, you're get rekt again.

I've made the first version of a lld PvP char by simply starting a blank lld char and throwing on him some of the uniques which i have accumulated during previous seasons and which i thought would work together to a certain extent, like a brightbeak hammer, a foxshade, slitherpinch, stuff like that. Like i said, it worked pretty well against most premade chars and even some custom ones, but once i got matched with a couple of good builds with custom gear, it was basicly just a case of me trying to get to them and getting obliterated on the spot :) But since i've been expecting this already, i wasn't mad or salty about it.

I expect good PvP from an Action RPG like Dark Souls.


Edit: The Action RPG "Guild Wars" (yes not 2) was renowned for having excellent pvp.

It is kind of fun to hang around in sarn merciless and see the big dudes with heir OP builds.

PVP is just a matter of currency if you play melee or bow ranged imo at least to be able to win few matches (Bow using ea or poison arrow is super OP)

Melee kind of suck if you don t have mirrored 2h sword or dagger and if you are not using cyclone.

You can more easily make a competitive caster since there is actually no way to reflect their attack and there is too much thing a casters adversary have to use to eliminate all the Shock/ignite/freeze possibility.

A caster using shock for example is very op because actually the only item preventing shock is the tricorn and good luck using this as a melee in high level pvp.

Casters can also go full block and do millions reflect dps using tempest shield and use IC to negate phy damage.

Pvp is sadly just on the side with this game.

If you can afford to keep vaal orb your gear till you get a few +1 level of gems pieces...

Tho que times also usually suck. Can often give up after 4hrs of waiting for daily.


Anyway, it's usually better to just spam the 1v1 and get Leo rep faster that way. (Tis only his lions that look uba cook in hideout anyway LoL)


SO yeh, don't take it too seriously. It's a good mass ex dump if your rich and want a twink tho.

Oh yeh, and it can be laggy as hell. Sometimes I just hold down the button, never see another player. Sometimes it says I win, sometimes it says I didn't.
