A Lore/Thematic Idea for Kole in Lunaris Temple.

Move Kole to here:



And have the portal to Piety locked until he's killed, a climactic guardian, the final barrier to Piety.

Not just some random guy you skip over on the way through Lunaris Temple.

The lore for Kole is that he's a prisoner twisted by Piety's experimentation, I believe. That's what Grigor intimates. I think it makes more sense that he'd be wandering the hellhole that is Lunaris-post-Piety than somehow assigned a guardian duty.

But I agree it'd be a good gameplay decision.

Good idea. He seems like the most out of place boss so far. Suddenly, Brutus. What? Should be a bit different, maybe another type of mob (machine gun breast-boss?).

I am fairly sure that Kole isn't finished. His Brutus-like self is a placeholder.

Aw, I hope they don't change Kole... I liked "Suddenly, Brutus (MK2)" effect. I guess I haven't paid enough attention, but I thought that Brutus was sort of the failed experiment, or the prototype, and that Kole was the next evolution.

I'm with you on keeping him where he is and how he is. It is really nice to run into him while diving deeper into the temple. And all the fighting on the huge 3rd level seems enough of a build up to Piety, given that you had to get by some badass on lvl 2 allready.

And to clear up the story for you: Brutus had himself changed by shamans to cheat mortality. Piety is mainly recreating what didn't seem to work so well in the past(Brutus/Merveil/The Undying). Oh well, we all need hobbies.

I really don't like this idea because his current position is very nice for farming. Teleport in via waypoint, look for him and kill him, reset, repeat.

Please don't change this.

The bottom level has plenty enough mobs to churn through, I would absolutely hate to have to go through all those to farm a boss.

Isn't Solari way better for that? There's the 3 spool bosses on the last level with the WP.
