Got banned without any reason?
Sorry for my english.
3 day ago, i try to login my account and got an announcement: " You account has been banned by an administrator" I never use hack, cheat or 3rd program in PoE and cant understand the reason for banned. I try and try again to sent my information to support@grindinggear.com but only got reply from Rob and Brian: [removed by support] I cant wait too long, someone please tell me what i can do to get back into account and play my favorite game. As stated in the emails, the investigation will be ongoing.
In the meantime there is no barrier to creating a new account and continuing to play - you will have to do without your collected gear, and I would advise deleting or refraining from using any 3rd party software that maybe modifying the client or gamestate in any manner. " You wait, thats it...support have told you ,you need to wait and it's the same support staff that would answer here, they are not going to bump you up through the queue, you wait your turn like eveyone else and hope like fuck they don't enforce the ban. But lately they have been banning people for cheats, graphical particle removal, scripts and RMT if they are sure that you have done one of the above then you'll get the initial ban but they do allow for a follow up investigation which almost always confirms the need for a ban Ancestral Bond. Do you have software such as cheatengine on your computer, and maybe had it running from another game before when you started Path of Exile? Their anticheat scans your running processes and even if you do not intent to use cheatengine on Path of Exile, you can get banned for having it open.

Gratz to the OP, while it would have been anoying as fuck for him/her support do need to do a job and investigate why the account was flagged.
" Prety sure Chris said on reddit that their anticheat only reads PoE and whatever is directly interfeering with it be it a hack tool or gfx tweaks, all the other stuff that can get you banned is all done through logs and behaviour in game. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

" Cheat Engine might throw a flag if it's opened during the anti-hack scan. What ggpenner was saying is that you don't need to be using it to mess with PoE at the time, but it could still be considered cheating. |

Not exactly sure how PoEs anticheat works, but I know for sure that BattlEye checks running processes and bans you for having software such as cheatengine running (gamehack #38). Also, when playing some battlefield (Punkbuster games) while still having autohotkey from PoE running, I get kicked for disallowed driver/program there.
Just thought PoEs anticheat would kinda do the same, sorry if I was telling wrong. ╔╤═╨─ Last edited by ggpenner#5590 on Mar 17, 2015, 9:06:28 PM
