Noobish question regarding Curse on Hit, Glacial Cascade, Herald of Ice, Warlords Mark combination.
I have a herald of ice + curse on hit + warlords mark combo set up on my gloves. Glacial Cascade is on my chest piece. I've been told glacial cascade per cast hits a few times. My question is if I cast one glacial cascade (no spell echo), does the first hit curse them, and i get life leach from the next couple hits of that first wave of glacial cascade? Does anyone have experience with this? Does warlords mark work for this? Does warlords mark work for spell casts only? Or just melee?

The effect of herald of ice will cause warlords mark, not it's additional damage to spells/attacks.
The effect is the circular ice explosion when you shatter frozen mobs. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

It should also be noted that due to technical tomfoolery, Herald of Ice's explosion can't proc curse-on-hit gems (though it does work with corrupted gloves for some reason).

If you want to do a passive CoH curse with an aura effect, Herald of Thunder is your friend.

Why is Herald of Thunder better than Herald of Ice for passive curse on hit? I'm confused.

Because, as Gilrad mentioned, Herald of Ice cannot actually trigger Curse on Hit. At all.
Additionally, Herald of Ice only deals Damage when you're already killing the current pack, whereas Herald of Thunder hits enemies from start to finish (because you carry the effect over from the previous pack). " Well, it DOES work if you use the corrupted gloves mod. I have a build that specializes in clearing packs with Herald of Ice procs, and combined with ele weakness on hit gloves, I can pop entire packs of whites as high as level 72 using the explosions alone. I recently just moved away from curse on hit HoT on my arcer. Why, you may ask?
The answer is that my cast range from arc was much longer than that of HoT. As a result, I often was not cursing enemies. Once I specced into whispers of doom, I began to use a secondary arc skill with Assassin's and Warlord's marks linked to curse on hit. Not only did this free up a 4L for CWDT, but it also enabled me to have easier and more consistent cursing. So depending on the range of your skill I would recommend using perhaps an arc curse on hit setup to apply your curse. Theorycrafter/Build Creator for PORTAL guild
