Steam Client EXE Does Not Update (Solution Inside)

I came home and I update via Steam which finally finishes and I go into the game and when I 'Login' it tells me to update the game. ... Which I did, this is now the third time I've tried to update the game. Will 'Delete Local Content' even help tho?

Yep same. Did you figure it out? After I close PoE steam seems to download some files... then I try again, same story...
Rinse and repeat, done this 3 times now. |

I have a 120/15 Mbps internet connection at home. I deleted the local content and gonna try that way. If this doesn't work I'll just download the client. I will post an update here in this thread and it wont take long.

Same here. unable run game. Always saying update the game and after update situation circle.

I believe because steam was down so latest update is not in steam yet. I Contacted support, hope get fixed soon.

And now it just seems to work.
All I did was verify cache and an update came in by itself.... I dunno... happy now tho! |

Yep, same issue here. 6th time restarting. Even tried restarting Steam to see if that would help.

Deleting the game and reinstalling it via Steam does NOT help you. We will have to wait. I'm downloading the normal Client.exe now. -Deployment Issues- Someone had mentioned the issue is with Steam again. Something about an update while Steam was down. -Suggested Course Of Action- Play with the normal Client.exe for now and update your Steam later. -Additional Update Attempts- 8:00 PM CST - "Delete Local Content" does not fix the issue. 8:20 PM CST - Downloading the game Client.exe to see if the game is up over here. 8:38 PM CST - Attempted to load via Steam again. Still same result. 8:46 PM CST - Downloading outside of Steam in the normal client is significantly slower. It's only running @ 4-6 MB/s right now. More updates to come. 8:54 PM CST - 68% Complete on the standalone installer. 9:05 PM CST - Installed from the pathofexile.com website and all is well. Just verified my game cache through steam, and it auto-delivered an update. Will update as to whether or not that fixed the issue.
