I don't get why everyone seems to want every Unique to be an endgame item. One of the things I liked most about D2 uniques where the fact that you could use certain uniques to cover every stage of the game (but then, I also didn't glitch rush to level, so there's that).

I dont understand the complaints. The uniques are interesting except that the claw is a bit pointless for any build that isnt low level.

Whats wrong with stormcloud?

Its got a fairly high lightning damage roll and more attack speed than a thicket

I would use this for leveling an elebow character

u can use it with elemental hit possibly would be good substitute for Quill Rain and no less wep dmg, if u dont have high duo elemental roll with %25 att speed on thicket this bow ll do better for most of the times. And i believe it ll be common, 1.8 att spd with 1-75 dmg not easy to find on rares.

Items like that have to hit with the item itself to get the lifeleech, they already fixed that with mortem morsu a loong time ago for groundslam.

We need a new endgame bow? Chin sol, darkscorn, and lionseyes aren't enough? And yes you can make end game builds around all of them, although obviously lionseyes is the easiest.
