Maybe every wave increases mob lvl by 1? It's unique, it could do whatever. Lets wait and see what it actually does.

Im guessing the maps name is coward because each wave starts 45 seconds after the first starts. And its designed for you to get overwhelmed and either port out or die very quickly

I don't even see the point of all the arguing. It's like saying that there should be no new early game content because you won't use any of it because you've leveled past it. This map may not be for High level characters and that's perfectly fine. Who knows maybe this is just a test for higher level wave based maps.
