I agree, I was just being dramatic. The design actually predated RF existing (and weapon swapping). The goal was to have a shield that would be a powerful metagame tool for pvp. Or a good PvE tool if you're especially concerned about caster mobs. I suspect if PvP ever takes off, it will always have a place in the metagame.

By the way, people.. I live on the opposite side of the world from New Zealand. When GGG releases a patch I'm usually in bed and asleep already since I have a 12 hour work day coming up the next day. It just so happens that GGG released .10.4b while I was still at work.
I check the forum every day. The op will get updated as soon as I am able to. |

Does the shield really work for RF?
When low life, the 'can not ignite' triggers, does that turn off RF automatically? |

I'm definitely keeping it, it gives me more deeps and movement speed, and another 2K Armour :D I lose 200 health but life leech sorts that out with the added dps "Did the earth move for you baby?
