You are right in a way. However, I was thinking that there is something special about the mod on the ring that adds 10-15 damage to frozen enemies. Does it mean that spells, minions, and totems created by the player also get this bonus?

There doesn't seem to be any info on the wiki about it. Or does this vague wording only apply to 'attacks' by the player.

"Integer," i.e. not percent-based, damage bonuses never apply to spells.

Except for when they do. Like Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ice explicitly doing just that.

Don't forget the added lightning, cold, and chaos support gems.

I suppose I should have specified "from gear." With exceptions where specifically mentioned such as Apep's Rage of course.
What about barrage? Does each projectile receive 10-15 or (10-15 * damage effectiveness)?

I was thinking if I could freeze and then hit them with barrage's 4(?) projectiles I could multiply the effect so that two rings would add +80-120 damage =)

I'm also using mirror arrow so that I can get more attacks in on frozen targets. Wonder if the ring's effect applies for the clone?

Also, does each projectile from barrage have a chance to freeze, or is it rolled for each volley?

Well, even though I have 20 exalt worth of stuff in Torment league I decided to level a character in Bloodlines in order to test out Tasalio's Sign. I don't know what the designers had in mind for this ring. Whether it really is simply a PvP ring or they intended it to go into end game builds or something in between.

But! To me the ring is AMAZING. Basically it allowed me to build defensively the entire time and still consistently freeze nearly everything that I come across, without having to invest in crit. With a very low Ice Shot DPS of 1k, I was still able to freeze lock cruel Dominus without crits (off and on). Yes, my fricken mirror arrow clone could freeze Dominus. So using mirror skills just doubles/triples your chance to freeze stuff.

The added evasion is ridiculous. Generally with a few evasion nodes it's going to give you +2k evasion rating over whatever you would have had without the rings on. Which basically means, so long as you have decent evasion on the rest of your gear, you'll never need to run grace until your level 70 probably. Which gives yoru reduced mana gem a chance to level and also gives you time to put off getting any aura nodes until much later.

Therefore I had 7k evasion without grace when I solo'd Piety and Dominus in Cruel when I was 5 levels underlevel. The ring is so defensive that just everything stayed frozen so even if your evasion was lower than that you're still going to be avoiding most of the damage.

Bottom line, very underrated rings. I just got to merciless and I don't see any reason to take them off yet. My character is already defensive enough to do maps, just need more offense.

My advice, buy them out now, even if you don't play HC usually, just farm ledge until you find 2 chaos orbs and buy two of these rings! And then combine the with Dark Seers in standard league in order to build the most ridiculously defensive spell casters that you can think of.
