PoE Steam charts decay to historical minimums

I'll admit it, I didn't read all of this thread but...

I know it'll never be released but I'd really like to see the exact numbers of how much money GGG brings in on a monthly/yearly basis with this business model. I'd also like to see it compared with their upkeep and just how much of a difference between the two numbers there are.

Since I just can't understand how they are still here, I really can't. I've said for awhile, I felt the game would be so much better with a small purchase price to pay, even just ten dollars and then that is also combined with their ethical transactions. Even with the supporter packs, I mean, I plunked down a decent chunk of money on them and I know a bunch of others did as well but that also means I am not buying anymore GGG coins because I already have more than enough. I assume this is the case with most people who buy supporter packs. That money MUST dry up fast.

I just know way too many mooches to see how it is sustainable to deliver the kind of content people expect of GGG at this point, while also making enough money with this business model.

Tried to play PoE on steam so friends would know what I'm playing instead of Dota2 but then it told me how many hours I've spent on it and when's the last time I played it, and all this "useful" bits of information. Yeah that stopped being fun after people kept asking why I wasn't playing anythung else. The Steam platform is pretty bad if your every gaming experience/hobby logged...

Don't you like knowing exactly how much time you've wasted on pointless video games? I know I do! Now someone pass me another drink...

And you didn't like that people asked you that? I don't have any problem answering those questions.

Path of Exile: 987 hours on record.
Might & Magic - Duel of Champions: 68 hours on record
Terraria: 57 hrs on record.
Warframe: 51 hrs on record.
Team Fortress 2: 44 hours on record

Past 2 weeks: 122 hours.

Why Path of Exile is the game I play the most?
Because I do what I like. I choose what to do in my free time and no one cares what you do in your free time.

everyone I know uses steam

at least real life people, most forum folks dont

I think most of the older accounts does not use steam simply because there was no steam in the beginning and there is no reason to go from non steam to steam. One problem with steam is that you get cheap new games all the time and before you know you own more than 200 games connected to your steam account. I don't like steam because when I log into my account it is almost impossible for me to choose which game to play.

@OP:
Imo steam players tend to play many different games always searching for something new. I don't think that the main playerbase even do use steam. Therefore steam charts are a little......... meeeh

I simply deleted my old account and created a new one through steam once it came out.

I just like the fact that you can sell Dota2/CSGO/TF2 items and buy stash tabs in PoE.

Don't think I've ever seen a "x is playing Path of Exile" on my Steam's F-list more than once...

Funny thing I started playing Path of Exile at the same I created my Steam account so I had no friends, and I started adding from the guild I joined. 13 of my friend list are Path of Exile players.

I've got only 1(out of 130) dude. Apparently he is playing with his GF and they managed to reach lvl 25 in a week(atleast 20 hours of gameplay I can tell).

I don't even have anyone playing PoE in my Friends' friends list.
