Thank you GGG for everything.
" Charan would be able to say this better than me but I am the newest moderator to join the team and I want to explain my thought process behind it and tell GGG how VERY much I appreciate the game and every single thing they do. This is going to be an extremely long wall of text by the time I am done, you've been warned. I've copy and pasted this from another thread because I personally think it needs to be read by every single person complaining, giving GGG the beat down in every comment they make, asking GGG to hurry up and do more and faster and anyone else generally interested in PoE. The GGG team is pushing themselves as hard as they can and still function. They are an extremely small team and I hope in the future that their success rises and they can hire and support a larger staff. Right now I understand and sympathize with being in debt from funding a game completely from self-funding until less than a year ago, when you started letting the community help pay you back for this treasure of a game. Yes, that is right - the majority of this game they have paid for themselves and taken support from the community for less than a year. They have gone without pay, without a lot of things to realize their dream of giving this game to the community. If you want to see improvements faster - all i can say is support them so that they can have a chance to get things done faster. If when this game goes to full release and it still has the major game play issues people are complaining about feel free to shove the insults GGG's way but right now - they don't deserve the level of hate people throw at them on these forums. And hate it is, I truly don't understand why some people feel the need to spread such toxic comments, if you dislike something so much and have nothing else good to say about it, Why would you just troll for the sake of being a mean person and purposely aim to ruin someone's day? They welcome the honest, not so nice feedback about the game but most of them are just not respectful and downright attacking in nature. These people at GGG have worked their asses off for years now, just to bring a Non-P2W game to the community and keep it Free to Play. Sure the game still has a lot they can work on, it always will have things they can work on but please stop the attacks and the hate - GGG does not deserve it. It's like going into someone's home and killing all their pets, eating all their food and beating up their kids - while sitting on their furniture, using their electricity and sleeping on their bed. People keep saying "but we told you about this a year ago" A year isn't that long for the amount of people they have on staff, the amount of time it takes to pinpoint issues, figure out a solution, the funding they have to work with, and all the content they had to get completed, as well as other urgent issues they have contended with over the last year - it seems like a long time but right now with everything they have accomplished it probably feels like a very long month to them. Have patience and they will get these thing fixed. They are NOT like all other major gaming companies where they don't follow through, GGG does what they say. Give them time - they will make a believer out of you, just as they have me. I was asked to be a Mod less than a week ago. I'm active in game and on the forums to a very large extent and I adore what GGG is doing here and I also have a great respect for the community and want to see it be the very best game out there, so I accepted the position. I would accept it again despite what I have seen the last few days. I decided to give my time to GGG months ago as I spend a lot of time on the computer to deal with an extreme pain disorder, it keeps my mind busy so i can not focus on curling up in a ball in the corner and crying. I can't be the top money supporter but I have lots of time to give and I choose to give it to them out of respect and support. I thought having the "Forum Moderator" title wouldn't really matter as I'm doing the same exact thing I always do and have been doing for well over 6 months - which is try to help people. Over the last few days I have received a death threat, been called so many standard insulting names (I mean really if you are going to call me names, at least make them interesting, entertaining and colorful and not bland and boring), been hit on with racist and sexist remarks, told i shouldn't have been born, accused of abusing the "power" numerous times, attacked just for trying to be a nice person. The list is so long I cannot even remember them all. I smile, try to stay friendly and direct them to Support. I have great respect for the Devs and the Mods that have been enduring this kind of abuse for months and years now. I had my first shocking few days, which i thought i was prepared for and didn't think it would be that bad. I was wrong. Day after Day, hour after hour of people spouting abuse is something i underestimated. I acclimated and have found the humor in the situation, I realize there is a human being on the other side of the screen who might not be having a good day and need someone to beat up on but my few days of learning the system, learning how the community treats the mods and looking the other way is done. The newbie doesn't want to be punched in the face any more, I am going to start using these "powers" I keep getting accused of abusing and muting you. Fair warning to the next person that calls me a bad name or issues me a death threat because I locked a thread that broke GGG's rules. I have realized that in actuality these attacks are not aimed at me personally, as really most people just call me "Mod", we are a team of people who voluntarily give GGG and the community our time, smile while we do it and try to stay as friendly as we can for absolutely no profit, no pay and no perks. Remember the next time you sling that insult out, we are people, human beings on the other side of the screen just the same as you. I want to personally thank GGG for the time, effort, sacrifices, and everything else they have put into this game - just to give gamers like me and you a new home. I am glad to be able to serve you and help make any part of your job a tiny bit easier and extremely proud of the fact you saw fit to invite me to join your team. Everyday my respect for you grows and I look forward of many more years of gaming with you. So thanks all of you. Keep doing what you do. I"m extremely proud to be brought a long for the ride. Thank you, GGG.
EDIT: Making alternate accounts to post more Porn will probably just get you an IP Ban. Last edited by tpapp157#0336 on Feb 8, 2013, 10:02:39 PM

Don't be afraid to take a break for a while if you need to. You've been doing a good job but sometimes you just need some time away. Maybe just to play the game (I haven't actually played since Open Beta started . . .) or to get away from PoE completely for a bit.

" Hey we all need to unplug sometimes...though with that being said I had some personal issues that happened and I lost myself in MMOs 24/7 for awhile and there is nothing wrong with that. If you think I care what you think, you need more of a life than I do.

Peachii, your work and that of the other mods on here is greatly appreciated. I have no idea how you do it, because personally I couldn't find the patience to deal with the average e-thugs and truly mentally ill people that pop up on the forums (see current situation) and in game.
I'm sorry to hear how bad it has been for you lately, but at least you seem to know to ignore all the bs that people spew out behind the anonymity of the internet. Hopefully things will calm down, and this community will go back to what it was before OB. Until then, hang in there, and know that you have the support of the great majority of us. Cheers!
