Devourers, what makes their current state justified?

I see new thread about desync every day, but I dont post there that Im sick of it, that desync is shittiest thing ever. Because Im tired of it. If you see a new post with 3 replies that desync sux, that doesnt mean its only 3 people think that. That means the rest people are tired of posting the same words over and over without any actions from GGG, because why? they will ignore it anyway

Link to GGG on desync so you can stop talking out your ass: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/710359

Shut your face. That was just an example

Both of these posts are slightly uncalled for, just chill guys :)

The point of underground mobs is that theyre underground. You dont see the worms under your feet either do you? Or the mole people that live in your garden...

If we're comparing them to real life aspects, then Devourers should not be bigger than a bear and be able to vomit missiles.

I've played 3 characters to 90+ in HC

Multiple 85+ HC on of that too.

Never have I died to Devos.

I have trouble understanding how people have so much trouble with them.

Aside from the pack causing desync, a good player should very rarely die to them.

No offense intended, but I don't value what you say much considering you are of the multi-boxing fan club. You forgot about unit collision blocking as well.

If you played more realistically maybe I would accept what you say with a little more care. I've personally died once to Devourers and it was due to their mechanics more than their damage. It was in fact my only death in all of my HC experience.

Mr HC there even owned you haha
I worship ee-sama!
As tank I enjoy playing with large packs of devourers. Lovely pets they are. Tanks can feel usefull because of them :) But I feel sorry for solo players ruining squishy builds.

My solution for party:
-Hire tank and let him go first through field full of mines.
-Hire Ground Slamer and let him be your sapper.
-Hire crit permafreezer.

***HEY DEV READ THIS***

My solution(does not exist yet, got to be created by ggg)for solo non-tanky players:
-Let Decoy Totem exclusively being able to awake Devourers and other underground pests.
*** I know You should hire Me GGG. But don't get overexcited. Just do that little thing now.***

Horror themed mob is still dangerous and fun<-power of reason-> glasscannons got their personal mine detector.

I like devourers, they keep me on my toes and are some of the best monsters for creating hectic scenarios. Games like this with procedurally generated areas are only interesting when there's the potential for a sudden difficulty spike. Without stuff like devourers large swaths of content would be completely safe for a prepared character, that gets old fast.

Fixed it for you. 5-7 of one of the hardest hitting mobs in the game that has any added element hitting you at the same time without warning? God forbid you rolled anything on your map that boosts their damage.

I guess I should say without warning that I know of until I try turning the sound way up to listen for anything. I don't expect much seeing as I can hear every other game sound just fine the way it is though.
Think mine was uncalled for. I need a little more patience with people, my bad.

Here in Bloodlines, devourers have killed me in maps several times already.
When a bunch of blue devourers pop up, and each of them take half your life, there isn't much you can do.

Or the last one, a yellow devourer with added dmg from map and faster attacks from mod. Boom.

If I knew they would come, I'm sure i could have done something. But. Meh.
