Devourers, what makes their current state justified?

You clearly didn't read what OP posted, come back when you have a couple minutes to spare for reading so you don't make a fool of yourself.

I think they would be okay if there was some way of telling where they are. Maybe their path is shown by some dirt trails. Ive read somewhere that they make a sound before rising up but I have never heard it. I guess I could try with the game sounds a little louder. Hopefully this works cause it isn't very fun to realize there's devourers when I'm being trapped by 6 of them.

The point of underground mobs is that theyre underground. You dont see the worms under your feet either do you? Or the mole people that live in your garden...

This may come as a surprise, but carry a Quartz Flask of Adrenaline in lieu of a Quicksilver. During an OH SHIT! moment, you won't have collision with the devourers and thus cannot desynced back into the pack.

It really is a better flask than quicksilver if you have a pair of boots with +MS% on it.

This actually isn't a bad idea I forgot the flask existed. I will give that a try.
Easy fix for Devourers = male them pop ahead of you instead of under.

The should have been big giant mouths that pop up under you instead of giant worms that shoot fireballs at you if they were to stay true to their name

Just add some earth crust that shows theyre about to come up. Could be only for a sec or so but it would be good enough.

WIN, perhaps even some piles of distinct bones. Mentioned this idea before in previous devourer's are arseholes oriented threads. In D3 there are creatures just like devourers but they have a certain type of cracked ground to look out for. Although I do agree with OP on the point about spawn rates, 5-12 grouped devourers is horrible, rock paper scissors NUKE that is what devourers are, unbalanced creatures from the beginning. Wraeclast with that many spawned devourers feels like dragons in skyrim; I am under the impression devourers are rare, strong buggers and players don't meet them often because that takes the mystique out of devourer encounters.

Have you been to this forrum before OP? Expecting anything besides "devourers are easy, everything is easy for me because I am the best, if you are having trouble it is because your not as good at the game as me, GGG can do no wrong" was just silly.

I'll be honest, I don't frequent the forums much because the few times I come here its a clump of random posts with some GGG members in them. The ones with members in them are something along the lines of "posted under a GGG staff!" "First!"

The more common topics I see the rare times I come here are "People buying items with real money, duping items, etc." Its not a lot different from Diablo II in a sense and its a bit ironic.

Meanwhile its exactly as you say, 90% of the posts here are racing to defend GGG about this specific mob type. Pointing fingers at me and saying "Well its your fault".

I honestly cannot see why so many here are so opposed to simple discussion and need to resort to sarcastic or even rude commentary. I got people flinging what they think are counter play methods and yet avoid the main question.

They arent unbalanced anymore, they got nerfed so hard its not even funny. :/

And they tend to pop up when im way past them and that even with my slowest chars. Only way the surprise me is in tight zones like ledge.
I've played 3 characters to 90+ in HC

Multiple 85+ HC on of that too.

Never have I died to Devos.

I have trouble understanding how people have so much trouble with them.

Aside from the pack causing desync, a good player should very rarely die to them.

If we're comparing them to real life aspects, then Devourers should not be bigger than a bear and be able to vomit missiles.

No offense intended, but I don't value what you say much considering you are of the multi-boxing fan club. You forgot about unit collision blocking as well.

If you played more realistically maybe I would accept what you say with a little more care. I've personally died once to Devourers and it was due to their mechanics more than their damage. It was in fact my only death in all of my HC experience.

I see new thread about desync every day, but I dont post there that Im sick of it, that desync is shittiest thing ever. Because Im tired of it. If you see a new post with 3 replies that desync sux, that doesnt mean its only 3 people think that. That means the rest people are tired of posting the same words over and over without any actions from GGG, because why? they will ignore it anyway

Link to GGG on desync so you can stop talking out your ass: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/710359

Shut your face. That was just an example
If I dont reply to you - I dont give a flying duck about your opinion

If you dont reply to me - I dont care either because I dont come back to see who replied to me
