cyclone on a facebreaker need a lot of mana/life. If you add another blue gem (AOE) already with the obligatory conc effect and add bloodmagic, you have then only 3 socket left on your 6l.

FB cyclone is never played with AOE gem in my opinion. Still abyssus always been the same for FB, FB can t crit anyway.

Anyways, I'd probably take added fire - you'd have a pretty solid amount of attack speed already on the tree.

Can't anything do atziri these days? I dislike cyclone but I guess it's great single target. I dislike Facebreakers but I guess it's an easy way to stack damage. I like infernal blow a lot more, way cooler!

I'm going to try to post my skill tree but my phone often crashes when I load a tree.

Ha - I'm n00b, late to the Facebreaker train and the thrill of the Atziri kill, so forgive my youthful enthusiasm :)

Facebreaker cyclone has been very powerful since a long time and killing atziri as well, long before that video was on reddit.

Also, increased aoe gem really isn't needed since herald of ash does so much damage.

Also,i lol'd at calling unarmed cyclone a joke. Most RT builds need insane gear to reach the same level of effectiveness. It's easy to say that facebreaker has shit range but in actual gameplay it's very very powerful.

In all honesty though, don't call any build a joke without first playing it. This goes for all builds.

To the OP, the best use for abyssus lies in phys crit builds(dw crit doryani anyone?). Also, I'm pretty sure that it still works for spectral throw. I tested it out and the damage boost was still there.

After mindless rainbownuke and 50 flasks, atziri farming loses its magic.

Got some trash to regret to switch to reave. And appendixes to remove from earlier experiments, but that's the gist of it.

To the other guy I can't be arsed to quote because I'm on my phone: I've played Facebreaker with 984% and t1 flat on every piece of gear and dreaded it long before any video anywhere (which, for the record, I haven't watched), so don't make baseless assumptions. I just really dislike the range and I strongly avoid using cyclone.

If you read the thread, you'll see that the multiplier no longer applies to spectral throw, but the flat damage obviously does so there is still a significant boost. I want to make the most of it, so I'm going to use reave.

Seeing as I have no way of knowing that you have played facebreaker before, it wasn't really a baseless assumption. Whether you like cyclone with or not is entirely your preference.

I have in fact read the thread. I have also tested it in game. The flat phys from abyssus is nowhere near enough to give me the damage boost I received. The new wording is just really unclear. Another example of this is the disembowelling cluster, which despite its wording, does increase spectral throw dps.

I see you've chosen reave, which is a wise choice. Good luck with your build.

Edit: it's a bug, as clarified by mark_GGG. So I guess abyssus won't be working for ST much longer.

Where'd mark say that?

Are you sure it doesn't work with spectral throw anymore? Mathil uses the crit nodes across RT in his crit ST and they have the exact same wording.
