A guide has been posted here which covers general aspects and strategies of racing.

A summary of Time based events:

Timed based events are new type of event introduced in Race Season 9, they are designed to create a new kind of competitive environment where players compete not by character experience, but by their capabilities to progress through the game and complete specific objectives, such as killing bosses.

The boss required to be defeated for this race is: Brutus, located in The Upper Prison.

  • The time recorded is based from the beginning of the race, not when your character is created.
  • Characters will not appear on the ladder until they have completed the objective.
  • Characters are not required to have completed the time based objective in order to receive points for the other objectives, such as points awarded for reaching certain levels.
  • Characters who die after completing the objective, will still be counted for receiving reward points except for the level-specific prizes.
  • Points are awarded at the end of the race, do not delete your characters until they have been moved to the permanent leagues.

fucking buollshit piece of crap desync, why am i surprised... fkn assholes
had a retarded pure magic puncture dog ledge, spent more time in there than lower+upper sub together, hell even than lower/upper AND lower prison.

would have had a demi if it wasn't for that bullshit, not to mention i didn't get a socket for PA till 7 so i couldn't even kill anything in ledge -.-

Trans +1 fire. On pace for easy 13 min or less kill. Corrupted layouts for both lower and upper prison...... great waste of time
>14 minutes, 26 seconds
>18th Ladder
>3rd Duelist

New personal record! I've previously gotten a Demigod's for a slower time than this, but such is RNG :)

Acceleration Shrine in Ledge and it was all GG from there. Must have had 6 blue packs in total, mainly archers which is the dream. Was level 9 but the time I even faced Brutus and with dream jewellery set. Fight lasted 5 seconds:

Now that I'm comf with the general benchmark times I'm going to ditch Tidal Island in my next Brutus runs. I know it's never been a good idea to chase the QS in a Brutus race but my aim until this point has been familiarisation and learning rather than min/maxing straight out.
1 bad zone is the difference between hudders(pros) and the plebs like me
Died twice in this (lol) and remembered/re-realized how tremendously bored i am with races atm. They need something fresh and new, i can't even imagine doing Bursts or EL or D:C right now. Only thing i could stomach is Burst Descent since it's something different. Can't even be arsed to play 20 minutes for jokely 8 free points here.
