I tried to craft it on a 6L bow towards the end of Ambush as a last hurrah for most of my wealth on the league.

It was painful. I used nearly 30k alterations, piles of scourings/regals. All in all, I blew through about 50 exalted orbs funding that little experiment. I never once came up with what I was trying to make.

You may want to just save up, find someone else who did it and buy it from them.

Unless you get off on gambling, of course. In which case, have at it! You can't take it with you anyway!

You are much better off buying, then linking.

Think of how many rare ilvl 64+ bows the population IDs every day. Probably on the order of thousands per day.

Let those thousands of trials work for you instead of taking them on yourself. I bet you can find someone who will sell you a +3 bow for 5 chaos or less simply because it's a very niche item and I'd imagine most people don't know it's BiS for some bow builds.

I know I have personally vendored 2 or 3 of them because I didn't think they were worth anything.
