Accidentally helped the wrong bandit. My character is now gimped.

I guess I'm a little confused how your toon has suddenly become a complete waste because of a single mistake. Could another bonus have helped you more? Of course, but was your toon barely scraping by and your success moving forward was solely bound to the outcome of who you helped?
I hope that after the shock, frustration, and anger abates, you'll realize your toon can still kill without mercy, and that women will still be mysteriously drawn to his amazing powers and, now, the unique ability to cast slightly faster. Of course, I am assuming that you weren't pinning all your hopes and dreams on one particular bonus from that quest. I could be wrong. Hang in there and, after chalking it up as a lesson learned, keep on leveling! You'll still have fun! Maybe take a break from that toon, but don't give up on him! (or her) Happy Gaming! Some of the replies did make me chuckle, to be honest. But I don't think they were mean spirited. |

I don't really understand. I've written my first character off as gimped because it's my first character. At least you made the mistake on your first rather than second character.

" The thing is, having to reroll on HC without dying feels...weird. |
If it makes you feel better, I didn't know you had to go back to act 1 to finish a quest and get a passive point.
" I wouldn't reroll before you die just because of one passive point :) Play the character until it dies and then you'll have more experience for the next one. I doubt the character was perfect anyway ;) I know mine sure isn't. |

Why do you say "the wrong bandit" when she was the last bandit?
Mainly, it suggests you wanted attack speed from Kraityn, who says he'll give you attack speed when you clicked to kill him |
" What I mean is that I was planning on killing all three bandits. I left Alira for last to kill. When I opened the dialogue I clicked a little too fast and had a mental fuck-up confusing the "kill Alira" with "help Alira". There should at least be a 5 minute timer before things like this become permanent. I'm not going to play a flawed character, it just bothers me. " All characters are flawed in some way, if they weren't there would be no balance. Let me ask you this: If you found an amazing onyx amulet with 99 hp, max ele damage mods, and great resists, but it happened to have a cast speed mod instead of an attack speed mod (edit: yeah, attack speed mods on ammies don't exist, but still, hypothetical w/e), would you simply ignore the possibility of using it? Do all your items even have 6 mods? If not, your entire point is already broken right there. You got the equivilent of an irrelevant added permanent mod. It's not a massive problem. If you ever get into using ranged attack totems or portal gems, you may even find it mildly useful. Your character will die in the end. You might as well just make the most of it and enjoy it until it dies and you roll your next flawed character. Last edited by MonstaMunch#6519 on Feb 8, 2013, 1:51:21 AM
