Phylacteral Link
" Still pretty obnoxious. You don't see it as often, but it is still too often for my liking. You also seem to see it a lot in Normal. |

I must be one of the only people that enjoys the challenge associated with p-link uh.
It's a perfect AOE nuke screen counter and gives incentive to use a single target skill for a change. When did people stop enjoying a challenge in a game? Was it around 2013? Hell this mod makes the huge "instaSPLAT packs" actually an encounter to watch out for.(like beetles and all of the little critter blue packs that otherwise make you go "yawn") I for one hope they keep this modifier and maybe adjust it a bit. " Out of curiosity, have you ever fought a bigger pack of phylacteral link mobs in one of the narrow indoor maps? |

I dont find PL challenging, mostly just annoying or a chore (compact mobs in one place). Only in one instance it was kinda tricky - Tora Lair mission, small space, ~50 blue mobs with 3 or 4 different bloodline mods, everything got mixed up... it was a mess.
Playing melee, obelisks are immensly more challenging :) Proximity shield does a much better job (= its much less annoying) at countering nukes, than PL or necrovigil. When night falls

" P-link is really the only bloodlines mod I don't like. I'm fine with all the others, including Necro Vigil, since there is a counter play against it. P-link has a counter play, but it is too much of a waiting game. P-link is really just wait, run, wait, run, and attack. Can get annoying and difficult, when it is on a pack of Bone Rhoas (or other high damage mobs). You need to draw a few at a time and wait until it blinks to that mob, then, you can kill it. This type of play is usually reserved for bosses, not regular enemies, which is why I don't like it. It also take a lot of time clearing them. |

Just remove it. It is annoying, and not even dangerous. There is no counter-play to it. Necrovigil can be dealt with by destroying the corpses. Phy-cancer is just run and wait... Just replace every ph link with necrovigil, if we really need those to be in the game.

Please do get rid of this mod.
It's tedious, it turns a map into a LOOOONG and BOOOORING waiting game, and it has absolutely no counter. A complete disaster. No fun, bad mod, no excuses. |

Although I agree P Link was poorly implemented into the game (and the devs seem to agree since they are reworking it), the core idea of a mechanic that prevents brainless AoE spamming is in my opinion needed. It's quite hilarious to jump in a map group and encountering even a mod like Necrovigil (which is in some ways comparable to p Link) with people spamming their AoE skills doing 0 damage because the mobs are still in the zones of their dead fellows. That's not bad design to me.

Guess what : in my opinion the four most annoying mods of bloodline are invincibility mods.
- Phylacteral link : no need to say more things about that - Necrovigil : problematic when mobs don't move or in small spaces - Heralds of the Obelisk : did you try to find the last mob for 30s with warping totems? I did, and it's annoying. It can be problematic with boxes, when one mob in the pack pop far away or behind a wall. - Bearers of the Guardian : same problem than with the totems |

Actually, P-Link is much better with AoE-Spamming. Have them gather around, for example, a Decoy Totem, AoE away and be sure to always hit the one with the disk. Sure, a lot of AoE damage goes to waste, but you'll always do damage to the vulnerable one.
With single target, you constantly have to switch from one of the bleeders to another. While you might get rid of the individual monster faster, with all the moving around you might still be better of AoEing. The idea of favouring single target over AoE might have been there, but I guess in this form P-Link doesn't work as intended. I think a better option might be to make the disk change much slower, but instead of just leaving the bearer vulnerable and the rest invulnerable, the bearer of the disk would have the combined HP of the pack, and live the bearer loses is also distributed over all members of the pack. This would mean that getting the disk bearer down would be quite a challenge but also that once you did it, the whole pack would die. This might favour single target high damage skills more.
