I agree with the Terms of Use.
But I would also appreciate the posiibility for players to have some offline editor/viewer in order to create their own designs and submit them to GGG. Last edited by Kussler88#5578 on Dec 20, 2014, 7:13:41 PM

" Thus why I am kindly asking if it is ever possible for GGG to allow us to use the models from poe specific things. Like making armor models to submit for community made uniques. Possibly even as part of a supporter pack of some sort. The sound track has been provided in supporter packs, so why not access to the models? I apologize if it's asking too much, but this is why I was asking first. Thank you for your first response as well, I appreciate it because it is good to know GGG looks at the forums often enough. |

I don't recall GGG ever saying they want POE to be mod friendly. Go look elsewhere.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

" GGG mentioned before that the game wasn't set up in a way that allows them to easily do such things as dyes. I don't know if it's financially feasible to add them into the game at this point. If GGG did find a way, and made them a consumable MTX, I think it would work out well. They might need to add a one minute change color period, so you could try out a few without using them up. New character art MTXs could be just the right thing to add some more variety for players amd some more resources for GGG to expand the game. " I also don't recall using models to potentially create armors to send for community made items being considered a "mod". No changes are being made to the base game whatsoever. Not a mod. And I also do not want mods for POE as it would ruin hardcore (softcore as well) if some had UI changes others did not. |

" I don't see how they could have made it difficult for themselves to do something as simple as changing the default colours on the base characters. If they managed that, I'm impressed. But you see my point. Just a little thing like changing colours could really add up. I agree with making it a one time consumable. Since its such a small addition, you wouldn't want to just let everyone buy all the colour changes super cheap and just switch in and out whenever. Modding (even just replacing 3D visuals of gear / weapons) would undermine GGG's income source, so ofc it will never be allowed or made possible.

" Again, not modding. Access to the models, to use to publish mockup armors, which could be sent to GGG, or better yet, put on a voting forum for which skins we want next in the game. This wouldn't allow us to USE our created models in game. Just to create them on the base characters. |

" Ok, I see. Still the process of creating models is highly tied to existing animation rigs (which are different for each class), this is especially important for body armor. GGG would need to correct / adapt user submitted models and sometimes its easier / cheaper to create from scratch, than correct other people's work. I just dont see GGG giving us all this data / opening their production specs to the public.
