Are Auras Worth It? ( Marauder )

No. This is my opinion, when considering all you have to give up or spec for when using any aura, given the meagre boost you get from said aura. Most people would disagree I guess, but I suspect they don't realize how auras gimp them.

Are you actually joking?

Auras are essential for a good build. With the use of eldritch battery (energy shield becomes mana) and discipline (energy shield buff) you can gift yourself free mana and in turn mana regen. Throw in clarity (increased mana regen) and a few other auras along with 70+ mana/sec regen rate (depending on skill) and your DPS will sky rocket. Of course eldritch is only one mana management skill but it's easily the best for supporting many auras.

It's the kind of thing that's hard to hit on the head first time around when building a character. Personally I have been playing since 2011 and have a lot of first hand knowledge after making a good few terrible builds. Try to find a solid guide with good advice, auras are very important if you want to be a great build.

Edit: At the end of the day any mana you have beyond what your peak mana consumption will realistically be is wasted unless used for auras. You can easily get by with only 100 mana provided your regen is up to it.

Sigh. I guess I should have specified that my comment was for the marauder (this OP's topic??) or just using auras in general. It's different if you actually make a build centered around using auras...

Yes. 1-2% mana lech (from warlordmarker or armour mods) and you can never stop using abilites (you need only x2-3(max) more mana than your spell).
"Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."
Some leech works good on AoE skills, but usually fails on single target skills.
IR = iron reflex.

You only switch out BM passive with godly gear.

If you use mana for your auras, you should run hatred, haste, purity instead of vitality and determination.

I forgot that marauders can't use eldritch battery. The OP asks about auras then in a separate statement asks about blood magic - the very fact that he asks the question shows that he is not currently using BM and as such could us EB.

As I said earlier, look into whether or not it is viable for your build to pick up EB along with templar/mara HP nodes. I've done it and my build is working effectively but I planned from the start to go for it.

Are auras worth it on a Marauder? If you have 2 on ( Determination + Vitality ) can you still spam skills?

Also, if you had to choose one, Vitality or Determination?

Extra question, if you run Blood Magic (Passive) will the auras decrease your health while activated?

Ty!

Don't run blood magic passive. Run bloodmagic support on your spam ^__^. I'm terrible for aura names, but the armor aura is actually decent, though armor is shit, it's still very good.

This. I run all my active abilities with blood magic support, and have a mix of 3 auras(which 3 depends on the situation) running at any time from the following: haste, anger, determination, vitality, purity.
Reimur: even though you're wrong, why would you have faith in diamond supporters? you're talking about a group of people that are so autistic that they would spend 1000 dollars on pixels. we're almost the most idiotic group of people in this community. second to hardcore players.
