" They are all imitations at this point. The original crew transferred control to some people several years ago, and have had very little to do with it ever since. That turned out to be a mistake, but I guess it doesn't matter much anymore. Also fyi, cheap imitations was the original point of TPB. I used emule not longer than a year ago. It used to be best source to find obscure stuff that existed nowhere else and I do miss that.
I guess torrents are still used so much because filesharing servers are just too clunky, slow and tedious to use with free slots. And I'm not paying for my "demo versions" of games, that money goes to developers if I decide it's worth it. My greatest dream is seeing Netflix in my country with US prices, that would render all manners of warez obsolete to me. Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I'd use netflix that way for the movies and series and for games I have warez only unfortunately. And do believe me, that this Deus Ex Human Revolution Augmented Edition set I got on my desk ATM wouldn't be here if I haven't finished through the game, courtesy of a warez release. And I bought yet another Anup Sastry LP even though he released it for free on youtube. These are trying times indeed, much is changing rapidly but I've grown weary of sitting in the gray area. " Oh silly Charan. DDL stands for direct download. You know that 200 kg hit whale being deported to the USA from NZ isn't the only one offering such services. But maybe it's just because certain European countries+Russia are known for filesharing. |

I was put off direct downloading by my adventures with Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
Sure, it was 20 years ago, but the pain of having it all go tits up in the high 90% range is still as fresh to me today as it was in those fevered early morning hours. Does anyone else remember GetRight ? == Officially Retired 27/02/2019 ==
