orb idea: Orb of corrosion

Simple mechanic that would make a lot of currently waste items more interesting. Orb of corrosion removes one mod. Randomly of course.

This could allow you to fix a rare with that one bad mod that is of no use to your build. Or it could remove that 150+% damage you rolled. Take your chances.

I can already hear the enraged screams of all those players who wanted to remove a light radius or deal x points of damage to attackers mod and removed a 200% weapon damage mod.:)

I like this idea. I feel the value of the orb should be about a quarter of an exalt.

I'm all for this, but it's very hard to know what the devs think.

the 'problem' is comparable to the vaal orb: risk vs reward/value:

In general, it would be very useful to remove a (crap) stat of a 6-affix'ed item for further crafting with exalt or especially crafting benches.

The risk in this would be to remove the 'wrong' stat, increasing with how many worthful affixes the item has...(had).

Now, if the orb would be too common: to much "right" results = bad
if the orb would be very rare: it would be expensive and (nearly) noone would use it = bad
finally, 'medium' orb rarity: only the rich guys can afford the price and improve their crafting = also bad (beside of them) ^^

use it with eternal?

But it's very rare and if this would be relatively rare then I'd like to see that.
