Possible builds with The Vertex

As Vertex cames out and i see it first Time i wanted it for sure!-)

I have an Claw Char focussed on Eva/ES to go Chaos Inoculation for true never recieve Chaos Damage and i also use Iron Reflexes to convert Evasion on Gear to Armour. I did not see any other Item that has such good Defense with these two Keystones from Tree. As i got my first Vertex i used an simple Claw with no Crit and also not that high BaseAttackSpeed to manage ManaPool and used Resolute Technique Keystone from Skilltree also. Later i got my Hands an very good Claw with high Baseattackspeed and even high BaseCritChance. Now as i go Crit i really thought first Time to replace my Vertex with an High Eva/ES Helmet with Accuracy Rating. I looked on XYZ and all i found that comes nearly to Defense Stats thats half of Vertex and has got acceptable Acc Rating costs like 10-??? more Times the Price of an Vertex.
It feels not bad to be able Facetank lvl 75 uniq Necro Boss in Party =)
Sidenote: That remebers me a Time there i Facetank with an LowLife Freeze Pulse Witch double Vaal on normal 74 Uniq Map and stands in Laser with 3 Shockstacks on me and not thinking about pop up an Flask or even go out Laser =D

Vertex is an really strong KeyUniq for Melee IR CI Char in my Eyes!-)

with it, you can reduce the cost of a skill to zero but i can't think of any builds that can actually really abuse free mana cost.

My main is CI IR w/ ghost reaver and unwavering stance.

I use this:


IMO as melee and CI you're better off with a good rare ES helm or maybe an Alpha's, or even Abyssus, versus Vertex.

Vertex for CI IR caster though.... there's a very winning combination.

Edit : in fact, it's not so good. The increased attack speed/cast speed of quality Blood Magic applies on the active skill gems linked to BM (Blood Rage and portal) and not on my main skill. Empower is still better.

Are you not low life?

Quality BM Gem on Blood Rage is a huge GLOBAL Attack Speed boost via BR's low life IAS boost.

If you're neither attack based nor low life, then this wouldn't be useful. I just assumed you were since this is the only reason to enhance blood rage.
