about the rollback "exploit"

if I understood correctly, this "exploit" is about making the game servers crash, so you get a "free rollback" on a failed craft or whatnot.
if true, this makes me sick.

an exploit is one thing. this is quite another.
if you are willing to crash a server - potentially causing game data loss and real financial damage to GGG and their server operators - only to Exalt something one more time, let me tell you something:
you don't fucking care about the game!

some lines, you just don't cross.

I dunno I found the exploit to be hilarious because it was so easy to do like holy shit my jaw dropped.

And it was in game for like a very very long time the streamer who ''found it / showed it'' wasn't the first to well do it but he was the first to expose it to the entire public including GGG which is even more funny because his fanbase or some shit wanted him unban because he didn't do ''anything wrong''

A friend made 7 +1 drill necks his account got locked for a few days, He called me and hes like yep my account is locked going to d3 for a bit.

well tell your "friend" that he doesn't know, how fucking close he was to losing all 7 Drillnecks, the rest of all his stuff, and making countless others (including you) lose theirs, because of a potential irreparable system crash which can potentially shut down an entire PoE server, for an unknown amount of time.

server crashes aren't something to be taken lightly, and if you care about your ability to play the game, and about GGG's financial status and ability to keep this game up - you simply don't do this.
no matter how fucking "easy" or tempting it is.

this is not the first time this "crash-server = free exalt" happens but you can be safe every guy that exploited it got banned

because if this "exploit" was indeed causing server-side malfunction, then the way I see it it's worse than RMT, multiboxing and "hacking" put together.
simply because neither of the above has a potential to bring an entire Path Of Exile application instance offline for an extended amount of time, thereby making thousands of players unable to play the game, and causing GGG thousands of dollars worth of direct damage in maintenance and data recovery costs.

and if that's true, the people doing it don't just deserve a ban.
they deserve Chris showing up in their front door, and handing them a bill with more zeroes in it, than Charan's donation.
