You know what? That system was the fucking worst thing ever implemented into diablo2, because it hurt legit players. You could randomly get RD (realm down = you basically cannot log in) for literally nothing. You could log in, create a game, play in it for 30 minutes, leave it, and receive RD upon creating another one. It was also against being efficient and simply playing fast. On top of that, it lasted from few minutes to few HOURS and there was no visible timer or anything. Botters quickly managed to find clever and sometimes expen$ive ways to dodge those "game cap" mechanics, so it finally all turned out to be more annoying and against normal players, than helping...
If you read topic you may notice i wrote 30 seconds before being able to create a new instance.
What was annoying in d2 (effective agasint botters/cheaters) was the cap: average 20 games per hour so technically 3 minutes... Too much in d2 when creating trade games, and -Joining- much instance. Because it was also applying when -joining- games.
Now after playing that much in POE i can say 30 seconds delay between -creating- new instance would not be a problem ^^
I still remember when i saw this player in my friend list for an hour creating new instance every 2 seconds (and im fair it was really 2 seconds between each instances)... This make 1000+ instances per hour it's .. sick.
Or how about they don't force players to farm for rare zones inside of low end content? Boom Fixed.
All they would have to do is add sacrifice pieces to map drop table, or make them boss only drops about 50% of the time, maybe a bit less, but not to rare either, and for the love of God, give them a chance to drop 2 semi rarely, and max of 3 super rare. Thats one thing i loved in D2 farming keys, those bonus drops were huge when they happened.
Then make Master's spawn at a much higher rate in non map areas, equal to or better then in maps.
Cheating in all of it's forms has really soured me on this game. It's not that it affects my game directly, but it simply feels less satisfying to play a game knowing that cheats are out there. This cheat is especially bad since I find myself using it without even attempting to... I just notice differences in load times and it makes me feel like I'm cheating.
Haven't played in a week or so, and don't really think I'll start up anytime soon. Definitely reduces the stickiness of a game to have prevalent cheats out there.

I didn't read much of that "[removed by support]" discussion. Idk if someone already mentioned it here, but the genesis of this so called exploit is that people don't want to look for corrupted areas in low lvl zones, so they do it through the efficient way. NO ONE wants to run through whole merc docks or whatever a hundred times, just to get access to one atziri run, which will most likely give you the flask anyways. Sorry but I don't see how adding a 30 second cooldown to creating instances would help. People would still do the loading screen trick, but just not as quick, which equals wasted time which then equals boredom and frustration.
Personally I'm not loading screen masta, but I'm really looking forward to test the upcoming corrupted maps change in the next league.
That will proooobably fix all the fuss. At least to a certain extent.

Quite easy to bot to 98-99 in that game and rack up a lot of HRs and goodies doing it. Ahh, back in the good old days of infinite wealth.
Sadly i guess My comp is too powered to take advantage of such tricks.
Fastest SSD out
5Ghz water cooled 2600K
GTX 780 water cooled
etc
all loads instant
all frame rates same
strong boxes dont lag
Oh me oh my guess I have to do things the ole fashion way...trade.
Yeah I got a titan, pretty fast ssd, i7 4930k water cooled, and I can do corrupt areas on frame times. There is a split second after you enter the zone, where it's semi-high. When corrupted zones are present, its around 30% higher.
I probably came late to the party but I maybe wrong but IIRC the loading screen doesn't work anymore with corrupted zones. I thought they fixed that one patch. And if you're doing this trick for masters, alternate between zones to load or you might get flagged as a botter/hacker if you're doing it for longs periods of time.
If you think they fixed it, you'd be mistaken. They fixed it mostly. Not entirely. It was overly blatant before....you didn't even have to pay attention to know there was a corrupt zone in Sarn.
It was and is still trivial to tell counting 1..2..3..4 etc that there is something extra in a zone if you pay enough attention. It was still so obvious in Sarn they made it so nothing extra loads there except boxes...and you can tell in Sarn when boxes are there usually.
Granted, if you have an SSD you are out of luck. But with my 5400rpm disk, docks instances with something stick out if I am paying any attention at all. Usually don't even have to count, just listen to the music....
