Necromancer Aegis/Shield Question

I just got this shield and i'm curious if the 20% increased physical dmg will carry over to the minions or not? I'm not spec'd into N. Agis atm but I might just for that bonus if it does indeed carry over!

yes, it should work

Indeed it will. Not much of a selling point, but if you have little minion damage - go for it.

well technically that shield isn't half bad , really when picking a shield for necro aegis you want one with 30+ block and spell block. and that technically does that.

its no rathpith globe or saffels ... but it is also cheaper. plus you never have too much damage when farming low level bosses. and lets face it if your minions need defense against dominus (68 domi) then your build is bad anyway
yes the physical dmg carries over. On the damage point, If you really want physical damage, jaws of agony is your shield of choice. For defenses, if your minions reach low life and thus are able to block spells they are likely to be dying regardless of the block, meaning itll basically function like an extremely weak version of jaws of agony

Well on the topic of jaws of agony, it needs to have a near perfect roll to really be better, 20% vs a perfect 25% is not all that important and really boils down to if you have it handy

life of shields is nice in the early game when minions have garbage hp stats, but 80 hp (translated to about 170 hp with passives) is a drop in the bucket for a 8k hp minion anyway and daressos has that all important high block

on block alone daressos is the better choice.

a true, i thought it rolled higher. Anyways, the 20% imo is worthless regardless, just not worth losing somehting like rathpith or saffells

I have both shields, I never sell anything...a bit of a hoarder! Well in a sense, I don't keep duplicates I replace the lower rolled items for the higher rolled, unless it's an item you can use 2 of then I keep! However it's not a perfect roll!

for farming bosses , i dont think you need your a-game sheild anyway. atleat you shouldnt , if you cant keep 8k life zombies alive with no rathpith against a 68 domi, you have issues.

and you would be surpised how 20% damage here and there add up.

you can get 115% from the tree which is alot, but if you do things right you can get 30 from the guardian, 30 from a midnight and 20 from this which is 80%, no small number

But not really amazing either, on that setup doing 295% damage instead of 275% is only 7% more. It's ok if you don't really need anything else from your shield, I suppose.
