Rampage/Beyond end in 17 Days
I am not lumping in the Forsaken Masters changes with my evaluation of the leagues themselves. They were pretty dull. I don't think either of them set themselves apart enough to actually be interesting from the base game. Once I hit my 5 challenges, I mostly checked out. I actually would have gone for 8 if not for the Forsaken Masters "Challenge".
I will probably skip the next set of leagues leading up to Act IV, unless they really blow me away. "Danger is like jello, there's always room for more."

For me both leagues where a huge big disappointment.
Rampaged added no new content, as in play-ability, yes one gets to kill monsters a little quicker but what's new? Nada. As for Beyond, we were supposed to be able to control the occurrence of "invading monsters" what a laugh. Sometimes they wouldn't spawn after killing loads of monster, and then again after killing three or four they would spawn, usually in a tight corridor or passage where you just don't want them. As for content! nothing was added in this league either, just a little revamp of Invasion League which was a great league. The only thing I really appreciate about the new leagues were the Forsaken Masters themselves. Worst Leagues ever IMO. To Die Is Not An Option, To Fight Until DIESync Is The Only Answer. ☺☻☺

My best league yet, and I didn't start playing until the middle of October. My one regret is that I wasn't able to build Rainbownuke. God damn Voll's Devotion is too freaking expensive in Rampage. Hopefully I can make some trades and get one in Standard and mess with that for a bit until the new leagues start. IGN: NoahsArChen "Oh awesome, this guy posted his current gear. I think they were under the imagination that the leagues dont NEED 'own' new content, as the content addition came in parallel with the forsaken master missions.
To me, it fits perfect together, still. " what else had you expected, or would you suggest? Temporary SC league IS standard with a little boost, always... (even if its hard/unfair to compare the rampage buff with strongboxes - the Ambush 'buff' maybe is like the Andvarius for 135 points) ;) invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

Rampage was super boring, nothing new in it at all. The biggest disappointments were the uniques in those leagues.
Loved the masters, changes to phys bows and witch tree. All in all, I hope for something more interesting next time (and some love for Zombie Summoners and minion gems overall). https://www.youtube.com/user/DaidelosGaming/featured

Beyond has been great for me. I don't trade, so all the bonus magic and rare monsters are a real boost in terms of drops (also xp). Combined with the masters I progressed very smoothly. My second beyond character has made it the furthest in the map system of all my characters ever. The mechanic makes a lot of stuff more interesting too: shrines, strongboxes, otherwise easy mode boss fights in small rooms, even just a big pack of white monsters. I just wish they could have invested more time in the beyonders themselves, made them look cooler and had a bit more variety.

I wasn't super impressed with the new leagues (except Beyond, which I didn't play). Rampage felt pretty meh and not that different than standard. I played 2 chars in rampage, a shadow trapper and a dual claw witch, got them both over 65, and did the full clears challenge earlier this week.
Overall I liked the changes made in the patch quite a bit, but they applied to Standard where my good gear is and all of my favorite characters, so I mostly just played there. I'm looking forward to the next league, been thinking some about playing a witch or templar using with fire traps, cold snap traps, and manual cast flame surge. Fire traps will proliferate shocked once three dragons is being used, and cold snap traps will proliferate burning. Flame surge will be used for single targets and to amplify damage against tougher mobs, and will shock hard. The build should also work with just fire traps and flame surge w/ some or none of the uniques I linked. Should be good to level and strong once the main gear is acquired.
