What do *you* do with excess Transmutes, Scraps, Whetstones?

Eh.. you can buy 300-400 Wisdom for 1 chaos, generally. Have to spam trade for a bit, but eventually someone will sell.


So buying 60 Transmutes for 1 chaos is a bit of a waste.

What do *you* do with excess Transmutes, Scraps, Whetstones?

Whetstones are exclusively used in chisel recipe. If stock is low then only white gavels/breakers/hammers get used, if it is medium then I'll use them on magic ones, if I'm stocking a lot then I'll also do the odd rare.

Scraps are used for alchemy recipe. Any rare armour that drops at 15% or above is put aside and later matched with 2 white versions. The three then receive scraps to 20% and one of the white items receives a transmute, they are vended for 1 alchemy orb. When stocks of scraps get high I'll do the 2 alchemy orb recipe, for this I'll equip a little MF, just enough to raise the number of rares while keeping a good amount of magic and white drops, I'll go to Tidal Island in A1N and repeat circuits.

Tidal is chosen for the easy access and reset, presence of a unique boss and the low level which reduces the number of bases that can drop and then need to be matched. Items are grouped in the same R-M-W 3 set but left UNID, the magic item must of course be looted for this. This consumes more scraps per alchemy orb but the turnover is far quicker and the micromanagement much less.

Transmutes are often used to vendor exchange for augments if low and even on to alterations if low. However the main way I clear out my stash of transmutes is in conjunction with clearing out low level maps. Transmute + map (+ possibly augment) = either a scroll fragment, or between 1 and 8 alchemy shards. Transmuted maps that give alchemy shards will be vended. Transmuted maps that give only a scroll fragment will either be put aside for chisel recipe or 3:1 vended for a next lvl magic map that will again give either a scroll fragment or between 1 and 8 alchemy shards.

of Commanders = 6 alchemy shards
of Hordes = 6 alchemy shards
Twinned = 2 alchemy shards

I can't remember which (very few) others give 2, but all the rest are either 1 or 0 (scroll frag).

I go through like 1000 wisdoms per day farming Dom in bloodlines, so all of my whetstones ars vendored for wisdoms. As for getting wisdoms at 300-400c, that sounds kinda absurd, unless your talking about standard I guess? Idk how standard economy works. In bloodlines most people spam sell wisdoms at 120-140:1c

People underestimate the power of a really well rolled flask. That's why they have extra transmutes.

I sell them off for wisdom scrolls. In Torment I'm always out of scrolls =_=
