What do *you* do with excess Transmutes, Scraps, Whetstones?

When I get excess currency, I go to the vendor and purchase whatever orb that requires the orb I have excess of

Depends on how intense you play...
Transmutes: Buy chromatic items & Augementations, make magic maps Armourer's: maximizing your gear, on high sustain also for leveling equip etc. Whetstones: additional to above, use for the stone hammer recipe both scraps&stones also serve as concentrate for later change into wisdom scrolls (each stack into 2 stacks) invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

I switch back and forth between chars of various levels so I need all kinds of currency, trying to be as self-sufficient as possible to keep interaction with other players at a minimum.

If i don't have enough Wisdom Scrolls > vendor Transmutes. Since i have a lot of both, i buy aug>alt orbs from a vendor for transmutes. scraps and whetstones i use for the chaos recipe if they pile up.

I know this topic is fairly old, but what chisel recipes are you guys referring to? I see a couple different ones.

turn em into wisdomscrolls for domruns / keep em buy more stashtabs

Transmutes ~ I keep a stack in my inventory for strong boxes and then the rest get converted into wisdom scrolls.
Scraps and Whets ~ Both are saved and then used for linking purposes. It's pretty surprising how fast you can tear through 500 of either when you're trying to 6-link something. |

" ive honestly never used scraps on 6linking 5linking it has more impact on white blue items and after that it incredibly does NOTHING. scraps on whiteitems to 6link = gg blue?euh rare ? euhhx2 uniques? lol what are you even thinkng?! |

whetstones get completly used up for chisel recipe (infact i vendor scraps into whetstones to get enough) "excess" scraps i put on stuff i want to sell to make them look more appealing :P
transmutation orbs get completly used up for craftign maps, flasks etc it rarely happens that i have more then 2 stacks of any of the named orbs. |
