To be honest - while at first i was turned off by the convulated trading system in PoE, over time and through using it more frequently as time went by, i learned to actually like it this way as well. One of the main reasons is exactly this - it's convulated and non-automated system is actually one of the biggest entry hurdles for trade-botters like this guy:

As for OP's question - i'm sure that even if poe.xyz went down, another similar website would soon appear and take it's place, so i'd just wait a bit.

Looks like POE.XYZ isn't getting prompt updates these days. As of this date, neither Herald of Thunder nor Lightning Tendrils have been added to the gem list. Searching for "Herald of Thunder" produces an empty list, and seaching for "Herald" produces only Herald of Ice and Herald of Ash listings.
Try it yourself, and get a small taste of what it's like on your own...

LOL trying to play self found end content on this game. How many have tried it and only a few succeed? Barter all you want in the trade channels. Spend more time trading than actually playing the game.
Let's be real, if xyz dies watch the game go to hell.
Those who want on demand trades and are willing to trade a top end price will do it.
It's great as well for ppl to price items they have...not that they will always get that price but it's a starting point for them to offer.
Until GGG implement's a worthy trading system, xyz is the best everyone has. And we all know that MTX development outweighs a free trading system that a fan has created.
Why would anyone try to bother making another XYZ if it already exist?
The point of this thread was if it DIDN'T exist...refer to the OP title. I can put it in quotes if you need.
