You're missing the point. You can't just assume the same crit multiplier, since there are weapon-specific multipliers on the tree. That being said, I'd imagine foils would come close due to their crit mult implicit and boatloads of crit mult on the tree (still not as much as Daggers though), but the implicit might make up for Adders Touch.

EDIT: As far as highest single-target damage skill in the game, I'd have to agree with Shield Charge!

Haven't seen this mentioned - can't use it with Daggers, but DW Cleave + Conc Effect actually has higher effective DPS than Dual Strike at 130% x 1.69 = 219.7

Obviously it takes an extra support slot, but based on the assertion that we're going for pure single hit damage taking out Multistrike and/or Faster Attacks means we would be hurting for useful supports anyway in a 6L.

based on experience (with both the following linked to only multistrike, and spec'ing for neither specifically), dual strike has great single target for moderate health targets (blues or rares).
However, viperstrike kills high health creatures, (bosses, massive rares) a good load quicker than dual strike. This is likely due to the fact that you are quickly building stacks of poison which is effectively multiplying your damage per hit (and with millions of tiny attacks, it's quite consistent).

For a HoA setup I would say dual strike dagger crit..maybe shield charge dagger crit

Would it not be culling strike on a boss with a huge health pool?
