Does PoE feel like work now that we have dailies?

Noone is forcing you to level up your masters or to do the challenge including them , just saying .

You're as much forced to grind dailies as you are to grind maps. Think of all the uniques you might have missed in the time you took to write this post. Back to work!

Quite possibly the greatest post ever made on this forum.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
If that's your definition of work you must purely be living off capital income.

I have 3 masters at 8, rest at 7.
The grind was fun but now that I have them at 8...

Whats the point to still doing the daily?
Do I have to do it to refresh the unique item offer every day?

It feels like the game is forcing me to do them every day, and i'm starting to dislike PoE because of it.

Remember all the protests when we first heard about the introduction of dailies.
It was going to drive people away from the game.

Were they right?

The time spent doing dailies is nothing compared to the time you spent grinding them to 8, and really once they hit 8 dailies are a lot less important. So no you dont have to do them.

I see them as something else to do rather than try and grind for level 100

(Edit: I'm not going for 100 really, dont have that much time. But I may get some level 8 masters)

The only thing about dailies that feels semi-compulsory to me is doing them in groups to increase master xp by a factor of six.
I stopped caring about dailies, especially once I figured out how much more difference there is between just doing your daily vs joining a daily rotation.

If you think just doing your own daily feels like a job, try the rotations. You may not even touch PoE for a while (like me) after a week of doing that.

Now I am back to doing dailies some days.
Nope. I'm farming about 50+ masters per day, I just see the dailies as a quicker way of gaining them.

It's possible that Masters may backfire on GGG. Stay tuned for more details later =p
The only master that feels like work to grind is the 8th Master, Krillson
I intensely dislike the dailies. What I liked about this game was that I could come on and do whatever I wanted--level alts, boss runs, maps, farm sacrifice sets. All depending on my mood.

Now basically I need to be here at 9 PM on the dot in order to find a chain for Tora, who no one has, or to catch other people and be able to run and share theirs. Because otherwise, the grind is so insane it will take me six months to get anywhere.

So this is 1+ hours every day where I'm sitting here doing low-level content. Chaining Zana is ok due to the variety and the possibility for map drops, but everything else is absolutely mind-numbing given its low level. It's not challenging or fun, and it doesn't even feel rewarding since the XP bar doesn't even move a significant amount. It puts me in a bad mood, especially when I have a lousy group that doesn't rush to get this over with.

And for anyone who says it's not an obligation: with every passing day, less and less people care about or do masters. 820 is a shadow of what it was three weeks ago (speaking of Standard). Eventually it'll be impossible to even get a chain going, so there's a sense that this needs to be done now if I don't want to be stretching it out forever.

Overall--meh. I'll be happy once I'm done with this once and for all.
