Crit multi or attack speed for final mod of godly bow?

Crit multipler 22-27% vs attack speed 7-12%

Which one would give more dps? Assume the wielder is going to have high crit chance.

Had the exact same dilemma earlier crafting the exact same bow. Ended on crit multi, as the IAS just didn't seem high enough to matter too much.

End result:

I can give you love, rocking horses, and dancing!

You can equip a piece of gear with 27% CM and another with 12% ias or manipulate your tree to compare.

thats a pretty good idea except hard to make that work for me. My gear is very tight on int/str

This is not how attack speed works. If the weapon has a higher base attack speed, all of your increased attack speed is multiplied off that base instead of a slower base with more increased attack speed.

I can't say for sure how close displayed dps would be on crafted multiplier and attack speed but more attack speed on the bow it will scale higher in aps.

With the bow above, it would be all of your speed x 1.35 or the base 1.2.

Oh shit... Okay this is how I tested it. Heartseeker (25% crit multi) vs sundance boots (10% attackspeed). Heartseeker gave 150more dps. So you're telling me this is not how I needed to test it?

You gave yourself 10 increased attack speed to your 1.2 bow. So all of your attack speed modifiers x 1.2 = your aps.

Now to find out the actual aps with attack speed rolled on the bow, you would get all of your increased attack speed and x 1.XX depending on the increased attack speed on the bow. Mine for example is 1.35 so all of the speed x 1.35 instead of 1.2.

Ooh I see. In that case, attack speed is definitely better dps wise
Just curious OP, the first 2 rolls of your bow are prefixes. Can rolling alterations/augmentation achieve phy% + flat phy dmg? Or one of the mods were exalted at a later stage in the craft?

He regal'd it when it was magic with only a prefix and it got another prefix.
