2.3 Fakener (budget fake Mjölner) build - Trickster Version

PSA: discharge triple dips on crit multiplier to fire, lightning and cold skills, and you can get some sweet budget jewels with those modifiers on them that people don't think are worth anything.

How important is the Vagan dagger?

The price on those daggers has shot through the roof. I'm noticing Facebreaker has gone up in price too, it seems. My next upgrade will pretty much empty what chaos I have left after getting the 5L Voll's and all that. I'm currently using Ungil's Gauche and having no problem with accuracy at the moment (87% hit rate, I believe). Facebreaker would be a huge damage increase, but Vagan dagger is...well, a Vagan dagger. There's always the chance that I rip the dagger on the augment/regal as well, and wouldn't be able to replace it for a while. I'd also probably end up with a pretty crappy base, as the good base daggers are starting to get out of price range.

Have to disagree with Vortex choice mathil. You're only spitting a few blades out and Discharge is doing all the real DPS. Seems like BV is a curiosity in this build. OTOH ice nova + EE would have discharge doing a boat load more DPS.

Chaos should be no problem.

Vertex and get chaos res on boots and belt. that will put you in positive territory which is really healthy number since chaos doesnt hit *that* hard.

BV isnt their for DPS with some blades up you get instant max charges when you touch a mob. Your discharge constantly crits with max or almost max charges. No way ice nova EE would out-dps this setup.

The dagger and discharge gives you max charges first mob you encounter. No need for blades. Pull em out and see.

Not against single bosses where this setup really shines through.

the skill tree looks like scion's, not shadow's

Whats the downside to starting with shadow?

Struggling to get the colours on a 4l voll's probably hit the 6link before i hit the colours haha
