So, I was intrigued enough with the Naga mouse to take the plunge. Have only had a few hours to work with it, but I am very impressed. The mouse cord (which is braided wire) is about 10 feet long and can be unplugged making it wireless. Best of both worlds. Very heavy but at the same time very accurate (a lot more accurate than my logitech). In fact, you can change the sensitivity to whatever feels comfortable to you. Buttons on the side are very awkward at this stage of the game, but I think (hope) that once I'm use to them it will make gaming much easier. If anyone's interested, I'll give you an update in a few weeks once I'm back from vacation. -Dave

YAY i hope you enjoy it as much as i do. After your fingers get used to the buttons, you will wonder how you ever lived without it.

Doesn't this mouse require an always-on internet connection? (this would make it a complete non starter for me as I don't want my mouse to stop working if my internet stops!)

It does not. The new software *wants* you to connect so that you can store profiles etc... but it's not required. That said you can either use older drivers if you really want. Additionally, there is a great community and I wouldn't be shocked if they already had a decent profile for PoE.

However, and not to derail too much, but I have a G510 keyboard and I tried the new G600 mouse. I actually like it better than the Naga, and I didn't think that possible! I just like the button layout and third "pinky" button. But I wouldn't say it's worth ditching the Naga for it. Razor and Logitech both make great products, IMO.

I still use the Razer Nostonomo however. In games like this, I hardly ever use the keyboard anymore.

If you have some extra money burning a hole in your wallet (sadly this is less and less) I'd recommend looking into the Nostronomo too. Whether you use the Naga or G600, it's another great tool and makes gaming, and Photoshop, Illustrator, Autocad, etc... a LOT more user friendly.

My next big purchase is a quality gaming headset. I love my surround sound, but my kids don't when they're trying to play games on their PC's or Play Station! ;) Just hard to justify 200+ for a quality headset.

Just my opinion for those interested.

Happy Gaming!!!

Thanks, me too. When I get settled in in Fl, I'll probably have some questions on the set-up. Will also check their site for POE specifics. Got to go, at work, shhhh.
Yea I've been using the star wars version of the naga since SWTOR came out (christmas present with swtor when it came out last year)...

... best mouse ever.

ever.

I suggest you use the little sticky things it comes with on 2-3 buttons until you run them down with general use, worked wonders after 2-3 weeks I think mine were no longer usable and I could manage with just the little grooves that are already on it, now it's as natural as right clicking.... lol
