Re"rolling"? seriously?!

I just literally rolled out of my bed, and the first thing that literally jumped at me was this literal thread.
I often prefer starting a new char than rerolling my old ones, not because of the cost but I just don't get the feel for the new build unless I start from lvl1. I still have respecs from release.

If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it.

If someone catapults a whole tree at you, don't expect the Armour to prevent as much of the damage.
Rerolling toons and finding epic loot for gears is the meta of this game, bro.

Rerolling means to most people to start over. Respec is respec.

No trading for epic loot is the meta (apparently). Cuz it sure as shit doesn't drop.

If they mention FFVI FFVII or FFX then just nod and agree because they're probably right. Any other FF title and you can call them out and explain they are "noob" :)

I used to play D&D back in the days (read 80's, damn I'm old!), no computers involved, just 4+ guys armed with their pans and paper blocks and a good deal of imagination. Damn, it was fun!

OP, I don't see the problem with people calling it rerolling when they start over in a computer RPG, even though no dices are involved. I just think it is kinda cool that the term reroll has stuck on from the good old P&P D&D days!

Get over it.

BTW the best thing about PoE for me is actually rerolling and trying out new builds. I just can't see my self grinding maps forever to reach level 90 or even worse, 100.

That's just how I (re)roll.

Adding to the evolving language/redundancy quota -- how many people 'dial' for a pizza these days? Or 'switch' or 'turn' on a television?

WHY DO WE STILL CLICK A 3.5 INCH FLOPPY DISK ICON TO SAVE OUR WORK ON A COMPUTER THAT HAS NO FLOPPY DISK DRIVE?!
