Information about Next Week's 1.2.3 Content Update

Sounds like the missions are getting harder. And nothing about reducing the EXP grind for level 8 masters or increasing the reputation earned for these challenging missions, or moving the level 8 "remove mastercrafted mod" to a different level.

Masters are far from being perfect, and increasing the mission difficutly without appropriate rewards strikes me as missing the forest for the trees sort of thing.

A large component of 1.2.3 is increased mission variety. Tora has now found new kinds of monsters she'll ask you to hunt down, including bosses with all-new skills. Haku's bosses have been improved and have all-new effects that occur when you pick up the Spirit. Vagan has a new combat variation, new companion variations, and sometimes drops traps around his arena before the fight starts. At higher difficulties, Elreon missions can now have waves that include Magic, Rare, and Unique monsters. Some improvements have also been made to the Vorici guards.

Chris please, i'm trying to translate your text, just tell me if im not right...
Tora has now ask you to hunt down Abaxoth in every 2nd mission. (WTF is that monster anyway? Are you insane?)
Vagan using bear trap all the time now, so you'll be damaged around 3k hp at merciless with something almost unavoidable, invisible force, and while you can't move Vagan will leap slam you with another 3k dmg, so all you have to do is push that resurrect button now
"Improvements" made to monsters in your game usually means it become OP.

Are these changes are tested with various builds in endgame areas? Sorry but all i see nowdays is this trend, you make some post about some major changes to the game in a declamating tone, and then it turns out that it's untested, buggy and is all about one shotting players in new ways.

The forum monster is real.

For e-peens sake, I came up with that name in Charans thread about his new monster :D
I wouldn't name it after myself either. GGG may have talented designers, however they most likely won't be able to embrace my perfection in something as ordinary as a monster.

Depends on your build really, the same as the tasks required by the other Masters. Vociri (sp) is the worst IMO. Kill the target, don't kill any guards... better hope you considered single target when creating your build.

doing vorici missions as a dual totemer is pretty darn hard, you pretty much have to get lucky in wich mission type he decides to gives you since you have no control Over what the totem is gonna attack (specially shockwave totem), my vorici still lvl 5 while every other master is at least halfway to 7 already, it sucks considering he's the one i need the most for the guaranteed 6 link at 7 yet im hindereed because of the build i decided to go with

I know. I started the league with a Totem build, which I immediately abandoned upon first encountering Vorici. "Don't kill any guards." Right. Totem is AOE and I cannot pick the targets. /Quit and start over. Wasn't to happy.

Hard is fun as long as it's winnable. When you are given a Zana mission in a Shipyard map, cursed with Elemental Weakness as a map mod, asked to kill Rogue Exiles one of which is Flameblast, and this Exile is positioned in an area of nothing but narrow corridors and sharp corners, making movement and use of escape skills useless (because... desync), and all methods of gaining increased max resists have been removed from the Tree... this isn't fun.

- Flameblast circle, no where to run, pop Ruby flask even though it's of little use (+10 doesn't mean shit when you are 30+ below cap)... one-shot, dead
- Flameblast circle, pop quicksilver... get caught on a corner, one-shot, dead
- Flameblast circle, Leap out, land safely... no wait, one-shot, dead... desync says didn't leave the circle

In game where you can probably be one-shot by any boss-type using Flameblast when you have max resists and less than 4000 life... the above is complete, no-chance BS.

i still don't know who in GGG tought it was a good idea to add an exile that can one shoot you so easily, if this dude spawns on a -max resist map you pretty much have to abandon it, complete bullshit

Yep. That's what I did... after dying 3 times and losing half my progress to level 78. Dismayed, I logged out and haven't really played the character in 3 days other than doing Dailies a couple of times. I started a new character which is now level 60, or maybe just 59, to take a break from the above map and balance BS. But a few more levels with this character, I'll be right back to maps and, well, the potential BS.

this s news to me as far as that masters can leave your hideout without you kicking them in the first place.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
