Increasing Spell Damage

I'm looking for what stats can increase my witch's spell damage. Currently all I know if is Wands and Shields.
I'm just now into Act 3, and after a painful act 2 I've reached a point where I can't..actually kill anything anymore. My damage is simply too low, and I don't know how to remedy this problem. |

The majority of the spell damage increases you will get are in the passive tree, an lots of it is right at the witch's doorstep so to speak, but make sure you are taking a damage type that works with your spells.
That aside you CAN find damage increases on jewelery as well. Also global crit chance is a good way to boost your damage and apply status effects to the targets you crit. |

" Well, I'm pretty much a glass cannon build, I have 0 survival nodes. I've picked up every +frost damage in the witches area. I have 180 dps, and this just feels incredibly low. |

are you sure your looking at the right dps? on the char screen click the frost spell and look at that dps, i think your looking at physical dps.

What level are you, and what skill are you using? Any support gems on it? 180 doesn't sound all that low for Act 3 Normal on Ice Spear, keeping in mind that you should almost always be critting anyway.

Ice spear is kind of an odd spell with the big crit mod on the second mob hit. I don't think the DPS listed on the main attack tells the full story with that one. You attack a mob in the back with ice spear and you do that listed DPS on the front mob and much more if it goes through that one to the mob in the back.

Have you ever thought of using maces? Some have an inherent mod that increases elemental damage by 20%.
I currently dual wield those, which each have affixes that increase my spell damage by even more. They each give ~40% overall spell damage. |

My Ice Spear does 86 DPS. It's my Freezing Pulse that's doing 180 DPS. Apologies for the confusion.
My frost witch is currently level 27. Dual wielding maces sounds like not a bad idea. My freezing pulse uses a +Projectile speed and + crit support gem. I use clarity full time.
