Simplify passive skill system visually

I like the look of the tree as is. It has some complexity that makes you want to take some time to plan out your build, and allow for more variation. One thing I see too often(especially in console games) is the over-simplification of customization. They seem to dumb down the games too much.

Complexity of choice is good yea... but visual complexity that makes it difficult to see what choices you have... that's not good.

How about filters that simply highlight certain nodes in the tree ? For example i can choose from a list +cold damage and it would in some way highlight all nodes that give this. This would make the tree easier to view, without changing the format or size at all.
