Yes! And if kaoms was nerfed why is shavs still here. Imo shavs is stronger than legacy kaoms currently.

My HC Incinerate Build will use a rare chest.
Sure Belly of the beast would probably be better, but I dont think I can roll mostly blue sockets 1-2 green sockets and only 1 red socket on an armor chest.

I agree that for most builds one of those unique chests are BIS, but definately not for all builds.

And imho having good uniques is a good thing. Uniques should be powerful and you should be glad finding one. It was so boring back in closed beta where almost every unique was just crap you couldnt use at all in lategame.


Now most of the uniques are still crap, but we finally also have a lot of good uniques and you want to nerf them to crap again?

How can you even compare these two chests to each other ? It's like saying "Voltaxic is stronger than a Marohi, plz nerf".

Between all these items I see no reason to wear a rare chest anymore if you don't need to. I don't know a single build that doesn't have a unique chest as its BiS chest piece.

A large part of the player base play solo so there are a ton of builds with rare chests :p

Personally, I was excited to find a BOTB in the last league but by the end, I was sick of seeing them lol. Think maybe 6 in total dropped! How random is that!!

I Say let Chests roll IIR, but that's just me probably. But yeah can't really think of anything that I would use non unique chests with. Maybe BiS Rare Eva Chest for some evasion builds.

I'll probably not be able to afford a 6L Belly or Carcass Jack, but I'll most likely be able to afford a white 6L (currently at ~5 Ex).

I doubt my build will not be endgame-viable only because I have +100 instead of +35-40% life on my chestpiece.

And I doubt I'll cry some lonely tears at night because of the missing hitpoints or the non-perfect chest slot... ;)

I guess there are people that never had access to good rare chests. And I don't mean mirror worthy items, but above average/high end.

There's no reason to wear unique chest lategame if you can afford a good rare one, besides :
-shav, because it's OP build enabler
-kaom, because of the pretty sick HP boost
-lightning coil, because of the weird damage mitigation, but you have to work around this very item, can't just slap on and go.

All the rest of unique armors mentioned suck bad and are actually poor men toys.

Good rare chests can provide close to max HP, high defences, tripple high resistances, chaos res included.

I don't know if it's possible, but you can check out my lvl 84 groundslammer marauder, which is fully geared in uniques only. True - he's not the fastest, strongest or has the greatest armor, but he's doing a good stunning duration in a pretty wide AoE, which is basicly what a groundslammer build should focus on imho.

I don't have any major problems doing 70 - 73 maps (haven't gotten in to higher ones yet), provided i play smart, don't rush in to mob packs and remember to use curses and not to facetank hard bosses.
