Phys Reflect VS Vaal Pact: who wins?

I tried searching around the forums, but couldn't find anything that answers this sufficiently. Vaal pact says "instantly", but how does it interact with reflect auras?

Let's say I have 4000/4000 hp and I hit a massive crit on a phys reflect aura such that it causes me to take exactly 4100 damage after mitigation. I also have life leach with Vaal Pact such that I leach 1000 hp off of this same massive crit. (the actual logistics of how this is possible isn't important, just the numbers are nice and easy) What would happen? Would I one-shot myself because the reflect damage is greater than my HP? Or would Vaal Pact somehow further mitigate the reflect damage and leave me with 900?

Do the Vaal Pact and reflect damage happen at the same time but separate from each other? Or is there some kind of (Reflect Damage - Vall Pact Life Leach) = Damage Taken formula going on?

Already off the first page? Sheesh. Does anyone know? I am really curious as I am considering trying to make end-game physical work.

I assume you would get one shot before your leech can kick in but I have not tested this.
life gain on hit and instant leech from vaal pact are, as shown, instant heals, with enough life leech and vaal pact you may survive it, as each hit will gain the instant heal each, how it calculates it in order i do however not know but it would be the logical only way to survive an otherwise reflect suicide.

i am currently making a build which will evolve around EK life gain on hit ect and evasion, to see if it will negate/avoid the reflect damage entirely.
I play games... shocked, i know.
Leech is processed before reflect damage, so you'll hit, leech (instantly) and then take the reflected damage.
How does this timescale work within the span of a single attack with projectiles hitting different mobs in a pack at different times (like when they pierce, fork, or chain)?

Is it

Hit - Leech - Reflect - Hit - Leech - Reflect

or does it all get processed in one go? If it's the former case, then vaal pact can still save you against reflects since you'll be leeching to heal previous reflects.

I believe each projectile is calculated individually, so you will be leeching to heal the previous reflect.

According to the example given by OP, wouldn't you still die then?

As you would have full(4000) health at hit, insta-leech wouldn't do anything as life is full, then get crit-reflect(4100) damage and die?

No idea if anything comparable could happen in-game, but if it could, it'd be a minor kryptonite for the build =p

This makes me sad. There is no way you'll ever be able to completely negate reflect damage. Vaal Pact just went from AWESOME to .. nice.

This is why I am such a huge fan of Immortal Call. I have yet to use it against physical reflect monsters, but I am pretty sure it works.
Bullshit, you get the game for free.
