I'm planning to play this build after my current char and I'm still not sure about a few details. First, the only advantages of Ice Spearr over Fire Ball is it will almost always crit at long-mid range - while FB will need a few shots to crit and proliferate - and IS benefits from both Fire and Cold modifiers + Cold to Fire 30% more damage bonus.

However, FB base damage is like 20-30% higher, and it can be concentrated;
According to my calculation (with my tree and gear), FB crit prolif would burn for 21k dmg per sec, while IS would only deal about 9k.

Do you think the crit reliability of IS is worth the huge loss of damage?

I was thinking on using fireball yes, but its critical strike chance is just too low and does not compare to Ice spear's one

A little comparison:

Ice spear with 400% crit chance has 7*5 = 35% chance to crit, it becomes 1000% in second form which is 77% chance to crit (roughy each 4 attacks only one wont crit)

Fireball with 400% crit chance has 6*5 = 30% chance to crit which is just too low. each 3 attacks only one would crit and this will cut your DPS immensly

You could boost crit with heavily speccing in critical gear and passives (add 100% more from doom cast area + 50% of maligaros + 50% from rings/amu) but again you will end up with 600% crit chance which translates in 6*7 = 42% criticl chance which is again too low

Adding power charges to equation requires a Pcoc gem and huge passive investments and still the most crit chance you would achieve with 8 power charges would be 1000% which is 66%

Not to mention that with assassin's mark i can sustain easily 3 power charges with ice spear too, boosting my total chance to it to 1150% equaling to 87,5%

Damage wise, i literally burn normal mobs up to 73 maps in 1-2 seconds, blue packs take 2-3 on average and resilent ones 8+ seconds by speccing hardcore wise.. i feel damage atm it's more than enough
Just got my summoner 89 with 20/20 gems finally, oh boy what a @$@#$ing disappointment, thanks a lot GGG.

I shoulda just went puncture+iceshot or wings of entropy block build or something viable endgame without needing a shavronne.

nothing is wrong with summoners persay , its just that crit is much better

especially crit puncture, melt any boss in seconds with that.
A Blood magic Incinerate Shadow, with Max Block/Spell Block and Acrobatics/Phase Acrobatics+Atziri Step.

i could have start with a scion too, but shadow is pretty good too.

And you literally set the world on fire. Beyond mobs make no exception

Usual tactic is curse first enemies with Assassin's mark to crit better and then when they burn use elemental weakness to let them burn even faster. Usually normal mobs will burn so fast that you will have no time to cast EW

Very solid and durable build, specially with a cloak of defiance. This build requires a 4 link to clear fast in 10-12 minutes up to 69 maps. 5 link is not needed at all 6 link is a total luxury



Why not just use Pyre to convert cold to fire without AoF or fire to cold?

8500hp minions and evangelists die in literally 2 seconds.

Zombie AI retarded as shit, if a boss has ANY minions at all then your zombies will do like 1/5th dps cause they can't focus on the main target, no matter how many times you cast arc on it.

Couldn't do atziri solo anymore, had to get help from some puncture guy, snapshot nerf, evangelist bubble nerf and buffs to all map mobs killed any value a summoner might've had.

Conduit witch

currently sharing 13 charges that are easy peasy to keep up ( trade secret ), going for the final 14th charge in 2 levels. First time i tried a charge/conduit build and I didn't even look for one to mimic. I love it and party members love me too, which feels warm and fuzzy knowing I came up with the build myself.


The problem I have is monsters die too fast in parties when you provide this much power, so it's a competetion to see who gets to obliterate a pack first

Doesn't happen often but party 400+ rampages are a blast when all those cycloners come out to play.

I only have one wish..... I wish I had more time to play.

i started out as a heavy/groundslammer in beyond it is playable but man its such a huge pita and there is the constant fear that i summon the vaal detonte guy some day
this guy is now a 900str dualswt and slowly going for rf when he hits level 83 as a spelldmg boost

got a 6s 4r 1b 1g carcass in stash :):):):)
