Road to 1,000 Tidal Islands (for masters)

Half way to 1,000. The results remain roughly the same.

About equal chance between masters. They spawn roughly 1:10 maps.




@PyleWarlord: I agree with your map choices. You want ones that are pretty much straight-forward and short, like Tropical Island (66), Strand (71), and Gorge (74).

@Fluffy_Puppies: As previously stated, I wasn't keeping track, but I tend to have 3 or 4 corrupted zones before seeing a master, so much more frequently.

Update:

750 Tidal Islands. Still roughly the same results, aside from Vorici is starting to fall behind. Everyone is in the 11-16 range, where Vorici is only at 7. I wouldn't call that enough evidence to say he has less chance to spawn than the others though.

Also, it's still roughly 1:10 maps spawns a master.

By now, it's probably safe to assume that they have an equal chance to spawn and that they spawn 1 in 10 Tidal Islands. However, I will continue to 1,000.

IMHO 1 in 10 sucks if you're TRYING to find masters. Shouldn't be that rare/boring if that's the part of the game you're trying to play. I would rather them be more common and people can pass on them if they choose. I believe doing masters should be the challenge and not grinding zones to find them. Just my opinion though

Zana can pop in any map, as long as it is triggered by the map device. Not "end game" maps, but 66s will do just fine. I'm pretty sure the pop rate of masters in maps is 33%, and which one you get is totally random with no bias towards any one of them. If you want to do masters quick and easy imo, the best thing to do is just run white 66 maps. Hoever, i took a look at the mods the masters offer, and levelling them past level 6 allthough nice is not of vital importance (perhaps vorici for the 6L) but 40 ex for a 6L... I can get a 6L for cheaper..

100 runs isn't really a large enough pool really. If people could add to the table it could become a lot more accurate.

@trav_dawg: 1 in 10 isn't bad at all for such a small/quick map to traverse. And as previously stated, I'm doing it more for the corrupted zones than the masters. I just happen to be keeping track of the masters, more for the community than anything else.

@thevdende: Any map created by the map device is considered an end-game map. And there were end-game maps listed for all levels.

@KorgothBg: Thanks. Someone asked for me to do a different map. I asked which map they wanted and I got no response, so I continued with what I was doing.

@ciknay: I understand 100 is a small sample. Read the rest of the thread. I am currently up to 750 with the same results and working toward 1,000.

Im currently doing 100 runs ( as a start ) of The Docks, Mud Flats, The Archives, The Catacombs and the Tidal Island in order to compare them. Probably i'd run them all 100 times later today and i'll make a thread ( along with some calculations ).

100 is not such a small sample actually. The results of 100 runs persist after that. From my 100 Tidal Island runs i can confirm that its roughly 1 master per 10 runs.
