Hellgate Global

Hiya. Anyone playing this? Was re-released a few months back and I've been playing it on and off.

It's fun to play when you're bored, especially if you have a few friends to bring along :).

I haven't tried the re-release, but I tried the original just in passing before they pulled the plug on it. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it at the time. I'll have to give it another try one of these days.
It's free for act 1 and 2. After that it's 5$ to get access to almost everything, and another 2$ for tokyo. So basicaly 7$.

Those tickets can be bought with ingame gold too, so if you grind enough you can just buy them and spend 0$. Really not so bad))) Worth giving it a shot again.

i'm still irritated that i purchased that game. glad i wasn't one of the suckers that paid $250 for the lifetime premium content access or whatever that was.

dirty thieves, they were.
Meh, it's so broken compared to when Flagship had it, it's not funny. A lot of issues were fixed that now are not, still somewhat decent if you can get some people to play with, but I'd rather play DDO or Lotro.

<-- Sucker that paid 250 for the lifetime membership and collectors edition.

What's messed up is they didn't give us the "korean" release. Korean's have more content, more bug fixes, etc. They gave us some old version o_O. At least it's free).

How is Lotro ? The free version, I mean. I subbed before and liked it, but haven't tried it since it went free.

Paid $250 for the Collector's Edition and to be a Founder (lifetime membership)->

Doh! Flagshipped!!

Hellgate:Ressurection was a pretty good stopgap when the servers went offline.

I followed the release of Hellgate:Global and was happy to see it made available for the North American market. They have fixed a few of the glaring gameplay bugs and the essence of the original game is still there.

Strangely, I haven't been able to get hooked on it like I was the first time around. Maybe it's because I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from getting Flagshipped? I guess it must have been more traumatic than I had anticipated...

The only "bug" I can't stand is the one where you randomly drop to 0--1 fps, and it stays that way for 15-30 seconds. It's been around since Hellgate London, and was never fixed. =\

I never had that bug with the original game. Get it all the time with Global though.

T3 have seriously dropped the ball with this re-release.
