Is Curse On Hit + Traps not intended to work?

Apparently this combo isn't working and the skill description doesn't explicitly prohibit it, so I'm wondering if this is an oversight...

Dunno but the skill says Curse on hit. Traps are well... traps.
Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum - That's nature for you.
as far i know, traps arent "on hit"

Better check the wiki to traps mechanic, there should be everything explained. (or might "on hit" mechanic)
u just use trap support gem with curses
Curse on Hit requires you to hit, which requires you to make an attack.

Traps are not attacks.

Nope that is not supposed to work.

Traps don't "hit" anything when you lay them.
Nothing to see here.
wish I was at home to test myself, but I would try two different combos to test the mechanic:

1.) trap active skill (bear trap, fire trap, lightning trap) + curse on hit + any curse

2.) Spell, trap support, curse on hit, any curse

The spell by itself should work with the curse on hit, so it would demonstrate whether it was the trap mechanic or the active trap skills not working with CoH.
Hey...is this thing on?

A hit can occur with a spell or attack. Curse on Hit works with spells. I suspect that trap is not working because trigger gems do not work with traps (IIRC).

It's because you personally have to hit, a trap is a separate entity from you and it hits when triggered but that hit is coming from the trap not you and thus the trigger gem will not work
