Sry but wands have the best passives. 50% added eledmg from physical is just insane

Though I am mildly in favor of ways of modifying implicit affixes besides Vaal Orbs.

It would be if you had prismatic penetration support gems in the game. But after resist that's 25% added effective damage. Which just makes up for the lower base damage they had in the first place. With a little extra - you should get something for your skill point after all. Whole thing really screams "use lightning damage" to me.

Those new wand crit nodes, tho..

daggers are #1 in dps because they are #1 in crit chance/multi

How many dps nodes a 2h builds averagely has? I have a dagger build and I can telly you I have 41 dps nodes in my tree.

LimitedRooster if you are going to post nodes post them correctly (6% phys 30% crit not 10/30)

Now lets see what kind of nodes exist on the right side of tree:

Disemboweling: 150% crit chance in 3 nodes for 2h

Blunt trauma: 90% crit chance 24% dmg in 3 nodes for staves

In 8 nodes with these two u get 240% crit chance and 24% dmg? what? not good?

Furthermore close by is:

Smashing strikes: 36% dmg and 80% crit in 4 nodes for staves

Serpent staff: 90% crit chance, 30% crit multi in 3 nodes.

lets look at 1h

Pure brutality cluster: 150% crit chance in 3 nodes for 1h

Deadly precision: one node gives 80% crit chance 6% attack speed and 12% phys dmg. The 4 cluster points give 22% phys dmg 120% crit chance, 6 % attack speed, 15 multi. And this cluster is next to Cruelty cluster = 35% multi in 2 points.

Swift precision: 8 attack speed, 50% crit chance, 10% multy and 10% acc - just one 3% speed node away from highway.

Are these worse than dagger nodes in shadow area?

Now here's what I believe

RT/non crit user should not be able to get near the dps of a crit user.

daggers are best crit 1h wep, staves are best 2h crit weapons. As far as I know with comparable tier gear staves provide more dps than daggers (not talking about ST low life CoE bulshit - that's another topic). For instance 100-150k cyclone. Is that enough to overcome not using a shield? I have to say no, even tho the staves have block nodes and implicit block it is not imo.

So I agree 2h need some love, but its really not the lack of dps, it the fact this dps increase can not overcome the loss of block.

I consider wands the superior option now.
Wands did get a lot of love and they are quite good from the look of the tree, haven't tried a build yet tho

bows did out dps and were more safe to play than 2 handers even before the buff, 2 handers are just bad, they have no defense, no damage and nothing else, not even fun, because the aoe isnt better compared to 1 hand too , and now after the nerf to life and max resistance, white mobs on map without damge mods do 50% of your maximumlife with one hit, with 8500 life,


every weekend i write an email to ggg support that 2 handers are bad and marauder starting ara is bad compared to other classes, but they still give a fuck

but maybe hegemonys era makes 2 hand builds viable, yeah blancing an entire build section around a single 100ex uniqe

Yup. Our Wander dps is way higher than our ST builds now. Fyndel just put up a guide to his new BM based Wander char that he tested out using some of my gear lent to him. BM allows you a bit higher dps than mana based but you lose access to AA as a trade off.




Wander outclears ST by a mile now, the only edge you can really give ST is tha it can use Whirling Blades. (and it's better overall for Uber Atziri killing do to the mechanics of that run - Wander still does Uber just fine ofc)
