Those aren't the patch-nodes for Forsaken Masters, those are the Patchnodes for Garenas PoE open Beta.

Although it is fairly likely that we get the changes that are in those patch-nodes it is also fairly likely that the Forsaken Masters Patchnodes include a lot more. Garena doesn't seem to get any changes to Cleave, I'm not sure if the unique-changes like CoE are in there (or if they even have CoE already) since I didn't read anything about it.

So those are not our patchnodes, although they might provide hints about our changes.

Arc is easy to gear for, you just need Empower and 2 cheap uniques to deal quite nice, though not OP dmg. If you have godly gear, it deals insane dmg though. So there is 2 problems:

1) GGG don't want easy to gear and well doing skills. This is bad for economeh, and players fun can't stand before economeh!

2) General problem of PoE is vast, vast (did I said vast enough times?) disproportion between gear available to average player, especially self found comparing to top gear avaiable to our dear trade chart warrior. For arc it can make 100% difference - my Arc TT is like 9K while Fox one, with similar passives but few grades better gear (though my is upper average one) deals almost 100% more dmg.

As GGG is not willing to deal with those problems (no wonder as it's base design of their game) situation like this will repeat every patch. And this game always will be at most somewhat interesting, never great.

Dear exile:

<POE> open beta will begin at AUG 14th mid day 12:00, game version will upgrade from 0.2.0(for the Close Beta) to 1.2.0. Patch note:


Game contents:
New PVP observe mode. You can type '/spectate IGN' or right click your friend in friend list to start observing. The player be watched must be your friend and in PVP area, and you must higher or equal to the level of PVP area. You can type '/town' to return town. In PVP observe mode, you can use arrow key to change observing position.
Long term improving of Audio/Art/Effects/area design.

Normal balance:
Strongbox will randomly spam in wraeclast, these strongboxs are defended with powerful monsters, when strongboxs be touched, these monsters will rush to players. Strongboxs will open when all guard have been killed. Same as items, Strongboxs divide into 4 different Rarity: normal(white), magic(blue), rare(yellow) and unique. Players can use currency to reroll strongboxs' mod and rarity. Strongboxs' prefix affect monsters difficult, e.g. more monsters, trigger trap or block your character(me: this is a mod or it's always block us:)), while suffix affect rewards.
Quivers has been redesigned, have different mods according arrows kind(or means according to different art?).
Bows now can deal more damage and some kind of bows have implicit mod 'increase critical chance'.
All low level weapons' speed has been increased.
Higher level life flasks now recover more HP. And two high level life flask has been added, one is level 65 and the other is level 70.
Two high level mana flask has been added, one is level 65 and the other is level 70.
Shock state now take 50% more damage (which now is 30%), and can not stack any more.

Active and support gems balance:
Duelist's beginning gem switch to Dual Strike.
Shadow's beginning gem switch to Viper Strike.
Low level quest reward has been adjust.
Many skills decrease mana cost.
We adjust mana multiply of many support gems.
Curse On Hit now have 100% chance to cast curse when hit. This gem decrease 10% support curse effect at level 1, and increase 9% support curse effect at level 20. Quality effect of this gem will not change.
Clarity nerfed.
Arc nerfed.
Flameblast nerfed.
Ball Lightning buffed.
Ice spear buffed.
Anger nerfed at higher level.
Wrath nerfed at higher level.
Spectral Throw nerfed!
Reduce Block Chance gem now have 10% less rate at all level. (nerfed)
All curse effect has been nerfed. New curse effect node has been added in passive trees.

Passive trees:
Witch beginning passive has been grate change.
Shadow beginning passive partly changed. Now it's divide into physical and element.
Many passive nodes surround witch/shadow/duelist has been redesigned. Important and core nodes has been move to outside place.
We added Important nodes in every nodes group except beginning area.

Bug fix:
Fix a UI exception when receive multiple trade requests and accept/reject in same time.

If you bothered to read the earlier forsaken masters update information it s written in a small section that they are introducing these two. They are not considered auras but whatever limited knowledge revealed to us is they are almost like anger and wrath. Bonus elemental damage with mana reservation. Right now what puzzles all of us is how they are going differ from anger and wrath and what situation is better for them? As the guy above me helped, they apparently are meant for meelee.


From the videos they almost appear to be AOE damage on kill, of some sort.

Skillcosts and support multipliers got reduced.This might be going in a direction where clarity won't be necessary for several builds.

If the previous version existed after big mana changes then clarity would be disproportionately powerful for the required cost.

It's correct - skill costs are getting nerfed.


The real nerf is likely to arctic armour and elemental proliferation.

Arctic armour was pretty much a must-have (or a very-nice-to-have) in a lot of situations. I'm guessing mana consumption stays unchanged there. Ele prolif enables major kill speed. I'm guessing the multiplier got bumped up heavily.

For other skills, I'm guessing the drop in clarity will be made up for with the drop in mana usage, and the only consequence is that clarity will be used less frequently, as it is not as badly needed anymore.
