No shadows bug...cant fix it

When i try to uptdate drivers from windows device manager, it says:
"windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date".

If is that so, i still cant see shadows in game.

Did you choose the option to manually pick the driver?

no, i selected aumatically search

Yeah so try to use the manual option and point to the folder where you extracted the AMD driver to

getting the same message.

this is where i am trying to dl the drivers. But is what made a blue screen in first place. Should i install this in safe mode?.

i have cleaned all drivers and installed last ones, then it gives a error message that the drivers not funtioning properly and back to zero

When does that error occur and could you post that exact error? is there more information on that error in your even viewer too?

Also how did you clean the driver and what components of the new driver did you install?

To clean drivers i go to safe mode and use the program posted in this TH. Then i install:
AMD-Catalyst-Omega-14.12-Without-DOTNet45-Win7-64bit (recommended in the amd web)
i also tryed:
AMD-Catalyst-Omega-14.12-With-DOTNet45-Win7-64bit.

When i install one of those, i need to relog in order to changes be aplied,i do so, and soonest i finish restarting i get a error message from windows that my drivers are outdated or not funtioning properly, and it sends me to AMD site again to download the same driver i DL before.

Because of this, i restart windows again in safe mode and i let windows install the drivers automatically. This drivers allow me to use the pc and that but i cant see the shadows.


This is my amd folders where i have all drivers. The first one is the one that windows install automatically i believe, the others ones are the ones i tryed installing.

i am using display driver unninstaller for removing old drivers. The thing that concerns me is that when i restart windows it may install drivers automatically and therefore, i am always installing the drivers with the windows ones in the background. It says i have disabled the auto install option but anyways it is installing them.

Finally i managed to stop windows from auto installing drivers. The AMD drivers still failing during intallation. I think that the drivers i am trying to install are not good for my GPC. The problems is that this are the recommended from AMD site, so i dont know what to do.

I tested beta drivers too, and they fail during installation aswell.

Unless i am making a huge mistake and downloading some crazy drivers that has nothing to do with my gcp, but this is not likely. The driver link u gave me in the post above is not working.

Now i tried installing a older version but more recent that the one windows installs, blue screen for this one too (version 12.1). Windows install 8.something and the lastest is 14.

FINALLY SOLVED IT: i installed the version 11 doing some tricks and i am seeing the shades again. Thanks for helping.
